Are you doing this on a fresh save, starting next to the pope? If it says no de jure I assume it's because your borders are not crossing the papacy. Make sure your starting county is within the Romagna kingdom, or next to the popes borders, just to be sure. Let me know if that doesn't work for you and I'll look further into it!
Lol this is dope, just creating a character with ONE THING IN MIND. Also the new pope saying "wanna be my spy master? Since you did such a good job on the last guy" -> Genius trait
I got that achievement back before Royal Court dlc. That would be really interesting to try again with all the new dlcs and updates since then. If I can make it interesting, I'll do it!
The creature you see rolled up in the beginning is an armadillo! Had the Minecraft community on Reddit help me out 😅 When the armadillo is scared or feel threatened they roll up like that, but if you step away from it and then walk by slowly (crouching), you can get a closer look at ‘em. :D
I have an updated strategy to get this achievement (As of 11/20/23) Follow the steps in the above video, be Norse orthodox Byzantine ruler, don’t take greedy trait, make lots of gold, become Duke of Thrace after being deposed, then revoke titles. Instead of revoking the title of the count of Kallipolis, Grant your son the county of Burgas then IMPRISON your son. When the imprison fails, your son will start a tyranny war, surrender, you will play as the son and raise runestone. Grant your father the count of Burgas then IMPRISON him, when the imprison fails your father will start a tyranny war. You will swap to father and be able to raise a runestone again. It helps if your randomly generated son character has traits that aren’t generous or compassionate, but it doesn’t really matter because after a few revokes back and forth it will always be declined. This goes around having to wait for cooldowns, treaties, and having a prestige loss every time your character is deposed. Keep flipping back and forth between father failing to imprison son, and son failing to imprison father If I didn’t explain this strategy well enough, feel free to comment below
I have tested this recently, and as of 06/13/23 it's still possible. But you must give your heir 1 county before you're deposed, that way your heir gains a rank. I might do an updated version of this video soon, I've been messing around with a faster concept.
