@ 27:00 a student asked “is it possible to mine in multiple pools at once?” (Using the same hash power, presumably) and I know that the answer is no as long as the two pools are mining to produce different blocks, because the hash is a function of the contents of the block, or at very least the block header (i think) I’m not an expert, but I think it might be technically possible as long as it was two pools mining a block with exactly the same content.
I watched Matt Corallo on TFTC and he suggested block withholding attacks may have occurred in the recent past and caused certain FPPS pools to go bankrupt. From what he was saying, the insidious thing is it's impossible to prove they happen. So he was suggesting that miners adopt Stratum v2 to mitigate this issue.
can't understand the negative comments. Lecture was good and helped me understand how patricia tries work. I'm watching it at 1x speed and going back and forth to better understand the concepts.
