Dynamic human spine models for #patienteducation. Whether you are a chiropractor, spine surgeon, physiotherapist, osteopath, or educator, these dynamic models will help in the explanation of pain and the therapeutic strategies that accompany the diagnosis. Dynamic Disc Designs crafts spinal models on a dynamic platform using a 2-part intervertebral disc allowing 6 degrees of freedom. Take patient education to the next level for your patients.
Research Based Dynamic Disc Designs Corp is a Canadian company founded in 2006 by Jerome Fryer BSc DC. With his keen interest in staying abreast of the literature, he noticed how outdated the current modeling state was and how unhelpful they were in the caring for spine patients. He quickly realized how ineffective a static model was when trying to communicate dynamic pain generators and respective solutions to patients. Something needed to be changed. Spine models needed an update.
Does this require surgery? I have this as well as facet arthropathy and a herniated disc at L5-S1… I’m a dancer and it came on randomly when I was dancing, it’s got worse and worse and I haven’t danced or even do a regular job because of it 😭 I don’t want surgery

Hey, Well enjoyed🙌! I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips! Would love to chat if you're interested and keep creating good content:)
L4/l5 disc protrusion 2 and a half years later still get pain sceared to work atleast its not as bad as it was started of a lumbar sprain but wasnt a lumber sprain
Just had this done. Do the facet joints remain strong enough with the process "bridge" removed? This was done as 1 day my back got sore. The next morning, I couldn't pee.
@@Dynamicdiscdesigns : thank you. I was worried about this operation forcing a life style change. I need to learn a few things. I had "pins and needles" in 1 leg for a decade or so. Bouncing / continuous moving my foot would mask it. Now the pins and needles is gone, I have to break my habit. Also limping. I don't believe I have a need to limp anymore. But old habits are hard to break. I'm so glad I got control of peeing back. I had a catheter for 2 weeks before I got the operation. That was long enough.
A non-traumatic disrupted pars would involve a diseased state of the pars, like an infection or metastasis. Over-mechanical stress would be the most common cause of a spondylolysis spondylolisthesis. Athletes who participate in sports that involve a lot of twisting, bending, and hyperextension, such as gymnastics, football, and weightlifting, are at higher risk for this type of injury. Acute trauma, such as a fall or a direct blow to the lower back, can also cause a pars fracture, but this is less common compared to repetitive stress injuries.
Sadly , I have the underhooked nerve symptoms based on the tests in the Back Mechanic. He doesn’t mention how to fix it . Only says to find a McGill trained or familiar physician. That’s not happening where I live . Nobody in my town or neighboring towns have that knowledge. What do I do now ? I’m worried sick . I originally had just a bulging L5 S1 disc . Now I have the symptoms of a bulge a few vertebrae up that are causing the undehooked symptoms. Please help ! Thank you ! I don’t have money to spend on special online doctors. I’ve missed almost 3 months due to this . Thank you 😊

Would this require another surgery? I have had 5 back surgeries so far. One doctor removed my lower back fusion, thinking it was fused. He has to cut one rod and use pliers to remove 2 loose screws, at L4/L5, which had been loose since my 2nd surgery in July 2012. The surgeon who had done the surgery in July 2012 didn't even get the screws all the way in and had stripped the ends. The stripped ends cut me for 7 1/2 years, in which doctors kept telling me it was either all in my head or it was just muscle spasms. The 2nd doctor did my last 3 surgeries. He wouldn't listen to me when I explained that I felt sharp cutting pain from the screws. After he did surgery, he went out and told my family that I in fact had 2 loose screws and a lot of scar tissue, which he removed. He also removed the fusion, telling my family he thought it was fused. I was home for 19 hours, sitting in my electric recliner with my brace on, when my back snapped and broke at my L4/L5. I instantly started screaming bloody murder!!! Took an hour to get back to the hospital, where they threw me in a medical decision room, in wh9cj I was paralyzed by then from my sternum down, and still screaming, for 37 hours. They finally did an MRI. The surgeon came in the next morning, all mad and pissed off. He rudely asked if I wanted to see the pictures. My boyfriend got upset with how he talked to me etc. I then went into another surgery, where all he did waa remove the huge hematoma. He kept me for 6 more days in the hospital, saying they just sent me home too early and that's why I started bleeding. I went back for my 2 week checkup, using a walker, because I still could walk without one, and the physicians assistant got mad that I was using one. Then at my 3 month checkup, I had to get x-rays before my appointment, and she wouldn't show me the x-rays and discharged me as a patient. I screamed and cried for 5 months and could only sleep sitting upwards in my electric recliner, due to the excruciating pain. Each month I would cry to my pain management doctor, telling him it is none pain that I waa feeling. Finally 11 months later, he agrees to so a CT scan to see what was going on. My back waa severely broken at L4/L5. I went straight back to the hospital, where I had the 2 surgeries in 5 days, and requested the MRI and x-rays. Took them to my pain management doctor and he said that they all showed my back had been broken all that time. The surgeon called me saying he had never seen that happen before etc. Sadly, with my insurance thru my state, I had to use him again to fix my back. Here I am, 3 years layer and have been in severe pain. Now I have a spinal cord stimulator to try and help. I also have a T2 signal annular tear and broad-based disc bulge, mild multilevel facet arthrosis and posterior epidural lipomatosis. Have no clue what all that means. My pain management doctor just said I was fine and now have arthritis in my lower back. I received epidural injections 3 weeks ago, which helped a little. Woke up this morning and it hurts to even walk. Feels like, whatever I tore, tore again and is so much worse than when it happen 2 months ago. I can barely even bend to put my shoes on. Sorry that this is so long, but I don't know what to do at this point. Any information or help explaining this would be a huge blessing. God Bless you ❤
Ruined my life. I'm 44 dealing with this for 24 yrs now. I'm ready to die with dignity. Can't do much anymore but complain and we'll thanks workman's comp for not helping.
I have mild Spinal stenosis l4 l5 small disc protrusion l5 mild stenosis persistant contact of nerve roots the more worrying bit to me is l5 modic endplate changes and segmental instability, I've had a scan no disc protrusion at l5 but I'm worried I feel its just a matter of time.
don't worry about the 'what if' scenario. Be mindful of overload and stay active would be my suggestion. This is not a clinical recommendation. Contact your healthcare professional. ;)
Apologies, we have now adding a description of the video, Hope that helps. It is a lumbar anatomical model demonstrating disc herniation and spondylolisthesis.
