I've always loved Nacho and found his character very tragic, but listening to Michael Mando talk about him and his feelings about the relationship with Nacho and his father, just makes me even more heartbroken! The first time I saw Michael Mando was just from a couple of clips from a video game called Far Cry 3. Never played the game but the clips I saw with him gave me chills. The next time I saw him was when he played Vic in Orphan Black. He was wonderful and so funny in that part. Then BCS. What a great character and the perfect actor for him. And, of course, every one of the actors were perfect for their characters and they made each one so real.
I have watched this series twice and just enjoyed it so much wish it would continue for more seasons. Now I'm watching Crimenal minds and see (Saul) as a young actor
I felt so bad for the dad. I think he didn’t see his son faults because he wanted to have the perfect family. I think his father played a tragic role in his life. With his father being in jail for conducting a heinous crime which caused him and his mother to state he was passed away because they were embarrassed of him. It also probably led for him to be an assistant DA so he was the opposite of his dad. Then once it was obvious his son killed his classmate, he refused to see it even though his wife saw the signs and knew in her heart her son was guilty. I think covering up for his son and wife in the end probably destroyed him and his family would never be the whether or not their son recovers from the accident. His dad told him, you can be a good father or a good man…that was a no win situation for him since I think his decisions will change him.
I just finished watching the show and loved it! I agree 100% with the concepts of "art as an act of defiance", creating community through art, and finding ways to bring people together instead of dividing them. Coming out when it did, it was so timely, almost prophetic. Divine nonchalance? How about divine serendipity? It feels even more timely now though. Beautiful work, very inspiring.
Andy is supposed to not have known about the story ("A Walk In The Woods") Jacob wrote which is read by Derek in court at trial. When there is a flashback of Andy checking out the Cut Up Room, you see him checking his phone - AND RIGHT THERE IS THE STORY - HOW DID ANDY NOT SEE IT?!
But...what great actresses!!! Bye bye from Rome.
Bob's dog is so cute sitting there looking right into the camera like it wants to do his interview too! Adorable and loves Bob and you can see he loves the dog.
@18:29 Michael Mando nailed it! "Nacho" and the dad scenes really broke my heart and Michael and Juan Carlos Cantú did such an awesome job playing the roles they feel so REAL so we feel that pain and love. I was hoping somehow Nacho and his dad would get away and finally have peace and a good life. Michael is a wonderful.
