Have to appreciate when an acclaimed older actor really commits and gives one of their best ever performances in a 'kids film'. Nothing against Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon etc. but Kenneth Branagh and Gary Oldman really were on a another level in their embodiments of a literary character.
When I first read the book some 100 centuries ago (before the movie) I imagined him as a rockstar duck character from a cartoon called Alfred Jonathan Quack. Wonder if anyone else did that 😅
