I think one of the major gripes Hawks fans have with a defensive selection was the absolute abomination of a season they sat through. It was literally Bedard or nothing. I don't think they understand how much a guy like Levshunov will help in a year or two. He was absolutely under hyped for such a great prospect he is. Levshunov controlled play at Michigan State and was the main reason for their success.
Conditions on the future 1st from Edmonton to Philadelphia. 2025 top 12 protected. If the pick is top 12 it moves to 2026 with no trade protection. Last condition, if Edmonton choses to trade the 2026 1st prior to the 2025 draft, then the 2025 1st becomes unprotected.
@@genericchannel5899 I am a flyers fan (I try to be unbiased) you guys ripped my heart out, I love Buium so much he’s gonna be a great Pair with Brock Faber
@@Newwavehockey @Newwavehockey I'm still trying to figure out how that went down. I assumed Philly wanted a C, so they picked up the free 3rd rounder to move down. Makes sense, right? But then they skipped two far better Centers to reach for the Jett. They could have had him in the 2nd round!
@@Newwavehockey Well, I hope he works out for you. Atm it feels like those three Bruins first rounders a few years back, when they went way off the board instead of taking some obvious studs.
Sabres need a 3C so much more than another raw D man. The C depth chart is Tage, Cozens, Noah Ostlund, Peyton Krebs, then Anton Wahlberg. Savoie is not a C, Benson is not a C. These guys are all wingers
What about Kulick??? He’s like perfect as a 3C. You just named a boatload of centers in the system and you think they somehow need more? They need a RHD more than anything from what I understand.
I explicitly said Savoie, Benson, and Kulich are not really centers. They don’t play the style on an NHL center like Helenius does. Kulich struggled a lot when he was moved to center. These guys have all turned out to be wingers except Ostlund
Kulich’s defensive game is not nearly developed to be a Center at the NHL level. He’s going to be a winger after Rochester shuffles the cards a bit and Ostlund/Wahlberg are getting the meaningful center minutes
I agree with you that if demidov and lindstrom are not there the habs should pick buium but I would hope we trade one of our left D like ghule for an elite forward there are a ton available at the moment. Mcgroary would be my pick for a trade
I wanted Levshunov for the Ducks seeing all they really need to solidify their future top four D core is a high-end RD. "If" Chicago does go with him and pass on Demidov I hope the Ducks take the risk and pick a potentially elite offensive force on the wing...Which they also need. The Ducks are weak on the wing right now, so it makes sense to me anyway. After Miami with Demidov being bigger than anticipated and how he was indicating he wants to play in the US asap, that might be enough to change Verbeek's mind. I hope so. If the Ducks pass on him and Pick either Lindstrom or Silayev that would be pretty good too. They are big, skilled and skate well. Lot's of upside. They would fit in well on the Ducks but passing on Demidov......I don't know.
I’m starting to like Luchanko I think he is a playoff performer watching the battles in the playoffs and commitment to loose pucks. I think he’s a lock to play.
I’m so high on buium he’s going to be a top 5 defensemen his vision his skating his offensive upside is next level not to mention he’s still reliable in the defensive zone dudes gonna be a stud
I’ve not heard that Celebrini is staying another year at BU. Is that official or just speculation? A bit surprised considering that Will Smith will be in SJ next season, tbh.
I disagree about Celebrini. The Sharks will be awful with him or without him. Give the kid 1 more year to develop. It can only help him and the team can be a bit better a year from now. As for my team (Habs) I would be ecstatic if they walked away with Demidov/Lindstrom and move up from #26 for one of the 2nd tier forwards (Eiserman/Helenius) We do hear that they really like Buium though...
I think you were the first on the stiga train - a few months ago you mentioned him and I had barely heard of him, now he’s consistently ranked in the first round
