Hello, question: do you make half stitches yourself, or is that specified? Can you do half stitches on every picture? Thanks
@StitchingMasterpieces
@StitchingMasterpieces 2 дня назад
Hi! You decide if you would like to stitch with half stitches or full cross. I would say sometimes I chose half stitches for super small designs. For example, Christmas decorations. They look even more interesting in that case. What would be the rules before decide to stitch with half stitches: 1. If you stitch with original dmc on canvas above 24ct make sure it is a light colours design. For black colours canvas might be visible a little bit. For example, this project in this video is on 22ct original dmc. 2. Try it out if you would like to stitch on Aida with half stitch. It might be an interesting experience to stitch half stitch with 3-4 strands, but I did not like how it looked. 3. I prefer full cross for pictures with faces. But it is my personal preference. It might be changed any time. 4. I love stitch sceneries with half stitch. But in general there is no rule that you can’t stitch any picture with half stitches. As soon as it is not a special design which contains all tripes of stitches by itself. But for full viceregal design usually you decide with which option you go. Happy stitching! 🥰

@@StitchingMasterpieces thank you so much.. I do have sticks and bands on my sides... but my tension in the middle of canvas is not as stiff as yours... I will try to make it work though!!
@StitchingMasterpieces
@StitchingMasterpieces 3 дня назад
@Bella198625 I agree, in the middle of canvas the tension is always worse. It might be because of thin wood they use for horizontal bars for our frames. As an option, you can try to make kind of the same vertical bar and place it in the middle of the canvas. So, you’ll have three vertical bars one of them can be placed anywhere you need more tension

However, I hope to make a video this week with my new idea for “all brands” organizer. I am in process of making it, so it is a perfect time to make a video. It contain all different brands from Ali express, skeins and threads. Just a heads up that it is very close to that one I showed last time. Hey hey! I have tried this method and I am really liking it so far! However I have one question. Sometimes when I pull one thread from the floss, it becomes knotted and I have to pull out the entire strand to unknot it. Have this ever happend to you? And if yes? What did you try as a solution?
@StitchingMasterpieces
@StitchingMasterpieces 13 дней назад
Not sure if it is the same, but I call it “caterpillar” when I pull one strand and the full thread goes out beneath the hole. It happens to me very rarely. In most cases it is happen if I was too lazy to put the new floss in a right way. If I just push them without disassembling the organizer just in a visible part of a bag - all the threads are not straightened. If I disassemble the organizer for the particular bag, place the new threads so they straight and go all the way to the bottom, usually there is no caterpillars happen. Hope it helps 🤗

If stitching faster is NOT your goal, then skip to the thousands of other Floss Tubes. To suit your personal taste. We all stitch for different reasons and outcomes. Process vs. Productivity is what it is typically referred to. If you want to be as prolifically productive as she is, with dozens of large full coverage pieces already under her belt, then of course one would need to learn faster techniques. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to accomplish the same goals as she (and thousands of other stitchers) have. That is their primary goal. Accomplishing as much as they can in a sitting (some, not all the time). It’s called, “You do you and I’ll do me!”
