It's actually quite a big portion between 2 it's too much as a side salad so I have it over two days for lunch with the toppings and then some chicken or salmon. I will go back to gem lettuce once they are in stock as I used to have one a day and just wash it and cut it up with scissors which saved time too.
The good news is that she keeps her collections clean and organized, so she is actually enjoying them. The bad news is that you will be the one dealing with all this when she (or they) eventually passes away. Thanks for sharing :-)
This was actually a May cruise. But in Norway you get very mixed weather as you can have 4 seasons in one day. As you can see from some of the video it can be really overcast and windy.
I went on the Hotel Chocolat website and bought one. I registered after many failed attempts with both my card and mums card to buy the £90 device (over £100 if you add the sachets and cups. More if you add a 6 or 12 month subscription of sachets) after finding out you get £30 off your first order if you become a member. So in total it cost me nearer £60. I didn't buy the cups as I already have mugs and I can buy the larger pouches so I can take as and when I need it. Is there any way you can make the contents of the Velvetiser go two ways? Make two cups/mugs instead of one? Also can you put the cups/mugs in the microwave to heat them up if you like hot chocolate...hot?
That's a great price. If I was making it for two people it's probably better to pour hot water in the cups to heat them up as I can't find anywhere online that you can put the cups in the microwave. You could try it with the hot chocolate in them and heat it up. I've started buying the big bags too.
I loved shopping from Tesco but as I'm still not out and about since the Covid scares after serious health issues I depend on home deliveries. Tesco just recently raised their minimum shop form £40 to £50 and increased their delivery prices too. They out priced me as I only have my Pension and I live alone I cannot afford to shop there now which makes me sad but also annoyed as I supported them all the way through Covid etc. I tried doing a 2 week shop to see if that would work but then all the fresh goods go way out out date and off before you get a chance to use them..............I am sad about this :(
So sorry to hear this are any family members or neighbours able to help and have a joint shop together to keep the costs down? Or if you do a click and collect and someone can collect it for you as I think that's a minimum of £25.
Yeah I have started buying my snacks from poundland as I pass there once a week anyway and then some low priced bits from Waitrose too. I might start including those items again if I can find the time.
Thank you for this video 😊 sounds crazy but these kind of things worry me if I'm using them correctly or not! Only thing annoying about this steriliser is that nothing dries inside
Yeah it does seem complicated at first and you want to get it right for your baby as there's so much to learn with a newborn. I didn't mind if things didn't dry as I only took them out when I needed them and dried the outside a bit.
@@HomebyRC I got sick of it and got the steriliser and dryer!! It's built a lot better so doesn't fall apart getting things out and it's lovely having clean dry bottles!
I would love to shop there but I don't drive and would have to go to other stores aswell as they don't sell everything. I do go there once a quarter to stock up on nappies and baby wipes though.
Technically, you can't leave it in there as that would mean the bottle is no longer sterile. It is recommended to boil water and put into bottles and store them in the fridge and use within 24 hours.
On their website it says you can leave the bottles in there with the lid closed for 24 hours this is more for when the baby is older really as you will hardly ever have to leave bottles in there for a long time as they always get used.
hi, planning to take a royal caribbean norwegian fjords cruise in 2025, but still waiting or royal caribbean to release sailing dates. what ship did you sail on, and what was the embarkation port? Would you recommend this sailing?
Hi, Thanks for watching. If you have kids then I recommend RC out of all the other ships. I've just got back from this same cruise but with P&O and it was alot cheaper than RM but not so much for kids to do. We also ate in the free restaurants and dining room everyday as the P&O buffet wasn't great. We are going back on RM later in the year around the canary Islands and it's working out really expensive compared to P&O but it's more of a treat due to how nice the ships are.
It can be very overwhelming and you can end up spending £100s it took me a good 6 months to plan it and get stuff ready as I didn't want to spend a lot but wanted it to look nice. I got a few ideas from Pinterest too.
Once the bottles have been cleaned and steriliser can I put them in a kitchen cupboard for me to grab as when I need them or do u have to sterilise again before use?
It's always best to leave them in the steamer with the lid on and then its 24 hours they can stay in there for. If you take them out make sure the teats and lids are on and them to minimise any bacteria again they should be fine for 24 hours.
We got an electric double breast pump which when you take everything apart you have to put together after sterilizing, is this OK along as my hands are clean??
My daughter is now 17 months and we still use the seat and footmuff. She's quite tall as well so I think this autumn and winter she will be too big for the footmuff and maybe the pram too unless I can find a bigger footmuff for it. But in summer she will be fine in it.
Yes you can make up a bottle one at the time and the others can stay in the steamer with the lid closed and they are sterilized for 24 hours but then after this you will have to put the steamer on again but you probably wouldn't have too as you would have used all of the bottles by then anyway.
When you leave it with vinegar in it, it stinks your kitchen out but once you've wiped it clean with a cloth and start using it, it doesn't smell anymore and doesn't make the bottles smell or anything.
Yes you need to wash the bottles and teats before sterlizering. Tommie tippee has a really good bottle brush and I just use ecover washing up liquid or nimble.
I've not had too as depending on what chocolate you use it is quite sweet unless you go for thr 70% chocolate one. Definitely try them first without adding anything and see.
I have been quite a few times now and my partner has been going there for over 25 years. Its really good value for money. The rooms are dated but we hardly spend any time there. We also drive 50 minutes to Bude beach as its lovely and feels like we are in Spain there as the ocean is so blue. I will be coming here again this year too.
Yes this one arranged by the cruise ship. From what I can remember it was a 30 minute coach trip into pompeii and we could walk around the ruins ourselves or have a tour. I wouldn't go to pompeii without the cruise as it was quite a run down area and most places had shut down.
If the cruise has a combined excursion or two excursions that give you enough time to get back to the ship and go on the next one then that is do able. We were at pompeii for quite a few hours and then the journey to and from the ship. Some ships have early excursions then you are back on the ship by lunch time and then there are afternoon excursions too so could be a possibility.
Unfortunately not I did ask in John Lewis when I bought it but they said all their small designer bags don't come with a dust bag which was a bit disappointing.
