I may have been 11 when I first heard this song, but I always related to it so much. Even now, I'm almost 28, and I realized that my class of 2014 was the last class of having a "normal" childhood, the generation that didn't have to do online classes, having bonfires and such. What was up with our insane selves always burning stuff😂😂
WWWY festival was announced recently and a bunch of my old friends and I hit each other up and are going. Really sad Hedley's not gonna be there, no idea what they're even doing now. But the memories just reminded me of this song and how it captures nostalgia perfectly. I first heard this 11 years ago in 9th grade, I'm now 25 with a full-time job and it's great to have WWWY as a reunion opportunity. God, this song is so good.

Havnt heard this song in years.. but I've heard it enough times as a child to remember every lyric man I wish music was still like this. Like who is gonna remember the music now adays in a few years.. they all mostly sound the same! Aduio tune, weird strings and loud beats in the back singing about sex parties and drugs or depression Why cant things just be deep anymore
I just found an old phone of mine. Looking through the pictures brought back some amazing memories. Found some old text from a friend who passed away and it almost brought my to tear. This some was the first thing that came to mind

Now that im in my twenties this song actually really hits home. It always stuck with me and I forgot about it for a long time.. And when I was feeling blue and nostalgic I listened to this and damn.. It really made me realize just how fast time goes by. When I hear this I just want to live in the moment and hug my friends. Getting older is so bitter-sweet.

God, I am graduating two days from now, one of my best friends is moving to a different state and I probably won't be seeing him, for either s long time or ever again. This songs makes me remember the good old times, we knew each other for six years now, and seeing him move away, after visiting so many places during school, New York in the USA, Vimy Ridge during the Vimy Ridge Memorial, it's gonna be hard. At least some of my other friends are heading to the same college I am going to, but I'm staying one extra semester so I gotta wait another year to see them. But I only stay at the college for two years, then move to another to finish my program. So I only get two more years with them, possibly.
This song (as well as "Perfect", another Hedley song) was played for every slow dance at my Canadian schools' dances so now I can only associate this song with feelings of awkward preteen loneliness
