You can use elastic, or maybe a stretchy thread through the top most row. As long as you try it on before tying it off, you could wiggle around and make sure it sits right
Thanks! I thought about using an elastic but all of my sewing supplies are all packed up and I don’t have access to them so I just decided to do a row of crochet haha
omg that shell stitch shirt is absolutely gorgeous!!! was it all free hand or did you follow a pattern or tutorial? would love to try it out ahhh ps. so excited to hear about ur secret project LOL !!
I didn’t follow a pattern but I just did a chain about the length of my chest, and then did shell stitches in the round (5 double crochet in 1 stitch, skip 2 stitches and do a single crochet in the 3rd stitch, skip 2 stitches and do 5 double crochets in the 3rd stitch) all the way around and join it at the beginning by either a single crochet in the beginning or 2 double crochets and a slip stitch - depending on the row (I would look up how to do shell stitch in the round) Then when the tube was as long as I wanted it, I marked where I wanted my sleeves making it even, and then chained the length of a sleeve and just did shell stitch back and forth for a couple rows and then did a few rows where i didnt go all the way to the end (so that it would be a cap sleeve shape) and then did a few more rows all the way to the end to kind if even it out. It was all freehand but maybe I'll film a tutorial in more detail! hope this helps - sorry i dont have a written pattern
Hi! I decreased exactly the same way as I did the front panels by doing a decrease and ending one early. The only difference is that the back panel is double the size. Once I got to a couple rows before the end, I stopped decreasing and went straight up while also doing the neck shaping I talk about soon. Sorry I don’t know how to explain it better - where exactly are you confused?
I have a Singer Tradition I’m pretty sure - one of the cheapest options at Joann’s, but I’m thinking of getting a nicer one soon as I’ve been using it a lot and it’s not super great after having it for a year and a half
The white vest with the pink ribbons, those you can wear 100 times, and I like how you put that double row of eyelet on the bottom of that blue top, do you wind the elastic on the bobbin or put the elastic down and zig zag, because I've never tried this. I hope you are feeling better and Have a lovely week
I Luv you too! Anyway if you want to make a million dollars just teach us how to have energy like you do, what do you eat and how do you have so much energy, write a book about it and then you'll have tons of money!!!!!!!
Honestly I’m really new to it too but I’d recommend setting up an instagram account and posting a lot of content there! And maybe look into some local markets to sell at :)
watching this while following your crochet vest tutorial loll:)) love the sweater girl the colour suits you so well! also it must've been so frustrating to keep losing all that footage😭😭
this is incredible!! I've been knitting for a couple years and my first sweater was definitely not as refined as yours, amazing! How long did this take you to knit?
I would love to recreate the white top. Do you have a tutorial or maybe how you made it in more detail? If you dont mind me recreating it. Also ur vids are so fun to watch and really calm! :)
