I’m based in UK and drive Class 1 HGV semi tractor trailers. I’m is in the process of getting a Green Card and will soon be driving in Arizona. Join me as i document the daily life of a trucker on the highways and motorways. Real life not glam or hype! I will post driving videos 5 or 6 days a week and occasionally bonus adventures.
Yes it is possible and sometimes they do try putting them on the wrong way by mistake. Some 20ft containers going to some scrap yards are loaded doors to cab because the way they load them requires doors to cab
It's hard to fathom how containers work at times. The trains coming from the docks are full and yet your quiet. Maybe it's that derailment at Felixstowe affecting you.
I think Multimodal have a few day drivers but not too many. They have 3 trucks based in Birmingham which do a bulk of the short trips but I think just due to the vast amount of containers Beko have sometimes trampers get put onto them as well
Hi Stewart - no dumb questions, only dumb answers 😂 VBS is Vehicle Booking System. It's a system for organizing flow of vehicles in and out of busy depots, mainly docks.
Hope you don’t have to come to Norfolk you’ll find it hard to find a road that’s open it’s driving me nuts at the moment they’re doing so many jobs all at the same time and what makes me even more mad is they’re little jobs that should only take a day or two but they close the road for weeks on end with no one working on them
It takes time. Did you watch the videos about it last week? It’s in the hands of the US embassy. There is no rushing them. Hopefully they will send my passport back next week.
I think if my job would have been anywhere in the North East I would have probably made it back under my own steam. Birmingham is a nightmare for chewing up hours at times!
Unfortunate end to the week mate, but at least you got home! I'm currently parked up down at Severn View needing a drive back to Leeds tomorrow morning. Enjoy your weekend mate
Harry you are working miracles,ex drivers like me have had all the problems you got and yes it frustrates ,you wonder when it will all run right again, this is one very good video of what a driver has to do,juggling everything in your head, cannot wait fro the next video.
Thank you Brian! It’s a balancing act alright from trying to think what the car driver on the phone next to you is going to do next and planning hours and times to get places. Certainly a skill I’ve developed over the years!
@@HarrysTruckingAdventures Thing is Harry you nearly got home, you never mentioned it but you would have made it but for that other truck waiting to tip, that cost you what 90mins maybe more,a superb weeks work mate.
Wow Harry you are burning up the miles, could you be looking at the most miles you had driven in a week, the traffic has been kind to you so far,be safe be lucky.
@@HarrysTruckingAdventures You should get applying for them. A lot of the big bands look after you. I spoke to one of the drivers at a Motörhead gig and he said it was great fun
I hope they are going to be paying you significantly more money than your on now, because I can't think of any other reason to move to that rotten country. So many downfalls and very few advatages. But you could always come back to the UK when reality kicks in and the brown stuff hits the fan. I wish you all the best, stay safe, be vigilant.
Cheers Phil. My parent live in the US (8 years) and they love it. Like anywhere there are ps and downs, but the standard of living is higher, more leisure and social opportunities. Main thing for me will be the space - everywhere just seems open and clean. I will miss the real ale though!
All the work has been done by Visa Solutions. They arrange the sponsor and guide the whole process. If you watch the video I did for the whole process (link at the very end of this video) you will see their website.
