I guess it pays to go to college first and go to OCS next instead of enlisting. Got it. No sacrifice too small in the armed forces. Think before you sign. These leaders will put you in the meat grinder for their own agenda.
Did y’all know that people with a medical waiver are not obligated to tell you about their medical condition? Some of y’all think you have a need to know, but actually you don’t.
it costs $50k a year on average to live in california he makes $120k, so hes living pretty good, Ig thats what a major gets payed though (Im aware that the average isnt perfect and that his take home pay is much lower)
I joined the army at 17. Lived in the barracks and owned only a cheap beater car or a motorcycle or I just had someone give me a ride everywhere. They provided housing and food. In 6 years I saved up more than 100k in my savings then I moved in with girl. And eventually got out due to a major injury.. and retired at 10years.. allnthat money I saved up got spent in the first 2 years of being out the army...
All those whining about their enlisted pay. I retired at 49 and, including 100%, I'm pulling in a civilian equivalent (taxes) of over $100k/year. Thank goodness for the old retirement system.
