I live in Arlington Washington and I can confirm it is a great little town with a bunch of antique stores. Arlington also has a couple restaurants like the bluebird cafe and the stilly dinner. Sadly they are building a bunch of apartment buildings taking away from that small town feel. The population hear is about 25,000 I hope this info helps

It's been mentioned before, but the "Seattle freeze" and the passive aggressiveness of people. I've spent time in Boston and NH, along in Los Angeles, and my New England accent has come out a LOT more since I've been up here, which has been off and on for a few years now. That said, I can't STAND passive aggressive people and I make it well known, so, I throw on my BAWston accent and my strong assertive behavior let people know that if they TRY being passive aggressive with me, I'll call it out. Being anything than passive aggressive will make you ZERO friends, but that would require what people think. I know people here say that people from the East Coast are "rude", but in actuality, we're not. We're blunt and forward. We have zero time to deal with bs or mind games. That said, I'm stuck here for another two years and I hope those two years fly by QUICK!

Bryce is absolutely The Best realtor we’ve worked with over our many home purchases. He’s attentive, thorough and helpful. He takes the time to really understand what we need. He is familiar with man areas, not just Seattle-proper, allowing us to consider the pros and cons of various areas - without being restricted. He knows the market and takes the time to understand our specific likes & dislikes. He also helped us find competent inspectors, mortgage brokers and got referrals from other customers of his for other trades. He was always looking out for our best interests and went above and beyond on several occasions throughout our home-buying process. If you want someone you can trust and who really knows the area - not just Seattle-metro - Bryce is the guy!

Cali transplant, classic, but I love the rain and long cold season. I would never live in Seattle proper but Kirkland/Redmond/Bellevue/Ballard/Bothell/Lake Forest Way/Shoreline are all awesome suburbs IMO. You can be 30-45 mins away from everything in the city (which isn't a ton tbh, Seattle lacks nightlife and real attractions outside of Pike Place) and not be affected by the drugs and crime (which isn't a ton either tbh). I prefer a sleepy city so I enjoy Seattle, I like the transit options as they've always gotten me where I needed to be :) Excited to see how the light-rail expands and improves in the next 10-20 years.

"Why People REGRET Moving To Seattle" Because Seattle is ran by feelings and the PC police rather than logic, reason, etc. I like Washington but I would never live in or around Seattle.

Seattle is so awful avoid at all costs, just kidding we love it here but people are right it's expensive the winters are dark, but there are tons of perks including higher paying jobs, opportunities, amazing outdoors, mostly good drivers, long summer days, the food options are really good you just need to be willing to try different places and travel around the area TOSHIS, Sushi, middle eaten, only a couple good bbq places but lots of good pizza too

Seattle DOES have weather extremes in the form of rain. It can rain every day for 3 weeks at a time. We often have cold rainy weather nonstop from May into mid July. We just had a week of 50-degree days in the middle of June. Summers are short and typically have maybe 8 weeks of sunny warm weather.

Thinking of relocating here but after the comments I'm definitely cautious. Would be for work. That, and Phoenix AZ is the worst city in America and i might die if i have to stay here another year 😭

I lived in Seattle in the 90’s thru the early 2000’s - it was awesome! Then I got married and wanted to put down real roots (buy a home) and now live in Tacoma. That’s where it was affordable.

OMG!! I lost it looking at the Greenwood property because I recognize the building. You can expect johns and hookers in front of your property night after night and you will hear gunshots about once a week. Ask the current owners of property #3 how many times they looked outside the window at the 6:52 mark to see some guy named Arnold running around naked fighting with the police before he was put into a home. There is a reason its only $500,000 and I'm sure the value has decreased after the gang shootout a block away from this about 2 weeks ago (see attached vid) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9AC8X2aO2bg.html

Disagree on the food. We may have variety of food options but doesn’t mean that they are good. I’m not even comparing to LA or NY. Fine dining is the worst.

Thanks for this video. It's all relative. I just moved to the burbs here from Southern California and LOVE Seattle. Compared to SoCal, it's scenic and serene. Far less crowded with tourists. Most people here are inclusive and self-expressive. So far I haven't seen the same superficiality and obsession with plastic surgery as in Cal. As a boomer, I appreciate how healthy and nature-conscious seniors are here. There is also a sophisticated vibe here that's missing from SoCal. As to the homelessness and traffic, that exists in all big cities.

Puyallup born & raised. Own a condo there now (...typing near South Hill Mall...) Truly one of the best places on Earth. Growing pains yes, but rather be somewhere people are moving to. PNW = majestic beauty, safe communities, local art, community culture. Intelligent citizenry. Young demographic. Tech Hub. Great future. (ps ... you can go 80+ MPH here, lol) -CjP -Puyallup High - '11 -UW Seattle - '15. GO DAWGS! s/o Husky Marching Band! 🎺

4:16 Californians average 90 in a 70. No one is pulled over either. Cops just don't seem to care about the speed limit down there. As a driver by profession it was typical for people to do 5 over in towns, backroads, and residential areas and 10 over on the freeway. I've noticed now it's 10 and 15. There are still quite a few people though that'll do 5 below on the freeway, which can be frustrating due to the variance, making it a bit harder to time lane changes and other maneuvers.

I honestly love the weather in Seattle. I don’t mind grey and rain THAT much, but what I really can’t stand is extremes. I grew up in Ottawa, Canada and for the vast majority of the year, it’s either -20 degrees with 4 ft of snow on the ground, or it’s 90 degrees with 75% humidity and a humidex like 105. I’ve lived in Seattle since 2013 and I find the rain to be a perfectly fine trade off for the mild winters and damn near perfect summers.

Lived in Seattle for 36 yrs. Not as fun as it used to be. The hipsters have disappeared. Despite fewer bike commuters than 30 yrs ago, the city keeps installing confusing and cumbersome bike lanes and infrastructure to eliminate parking spots and impede car/truck traffic. The city is being ruined by leftist progressives who have undermined the police dept. More crime, fentanyl and homeless than ever. Covid restrictions ruined many small businesses that have yet to return. It’s a shithole slowly trying to return to it’s glory

Black diamond is a horrible recommendation. It's completely flat and there isn't the usual infrastructure like supermarkets, fueling stations. There's only one major road going into it, which also passes by Maple Valley, which clogs up the traffic for the city as well. No one wins.
