I remember watching this movie on my dvd player 😂 my dad would bring me any dvd case that had a cartoon draw in it, so he tought it was for kids but sometimes not, most likely for teens or older
The whole story of Puss in Boots: Young Puss Flashbacks (he saves the town’s commander’s mother from a bull and gets his boots from his adoptive mother, however he then gets into trouble when working with his adopted brother Humpty Alexander Dumpty) ➡️ The Adventures of Puss in Boots (2015-2018) and Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale (2017) [Set before the events of Puss in Boots (2011) from when he met Kitty Softpaws, a single and Young Puss in Boots accidentally breaks the previously protective magical spell of San Lorenzo and has to fight off a lot of thieves and foes to save the residents of the town. The show is only still canon because it still takes place within the Shrek Universe of fairytales and nursery rhymes even if the show is from another timeline because of it being split, however the special episode’s canonicity is questionable] ➡️ Puss in Boots (2011) [7 years after the film’s origin story flashback scene and a few years after having one last adventure with his true love of the NOS, this love interest goes back to the future to prevent some very specific and complex off screen events from occurring so Puss is back on his own and now he has come back to clear his name from being an outlaw in San Ricardo which is his hometown, but in order to do that he has to confront his past and then work with Humpty and a new member of bean club Kitty Softpaws against the murderous outlaws, Jack and Jill] ➡️ Puss in Boots: The Three Diablos (2012) [A short film taking place a few days after the events of the original film and involves Puss working with former minions of the Whisperer to perform heroic duties and return a princess’s crown Jem] ➡️ Shrek 2-4 (2004-2010) An unknown amount of time goes by for this story to take place but Puss comes to Far Far Away only to become an Ogre Slayer and mets Shrek for the first time during a failed mission but finds himself in a new one to help save Shrek’s love and sticks around for the sequel’s in the Shrek Quadrilogy + Shrek short films] ➡️ Santa Coloma Flashbacks [a time skip into the future after the Shrek movies has Kitty Softpaws trying to tie the knot with Puss but he wasn’t ready for this new life with her for the rest of his *lifetimes* so he runs off and abandoned their wedding however it is unknown and up for debate if Kitty actually showed up either] ➡️ Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) and The Trident (2023) [Apparently set approximately 10 years after the events of Shrek Forever After and an arrogant Puss finds himself on his final life shortly after dying to a bell that fell on him so he goes on his biggest adventure yet to restore all 9 lives by finding the Last Wish in the dark forest with a non trusting Kitty Softpaws and a sweet dog named Perrito and races with other criminals to get it first but during this adventure, he comes face to face with his own mortality for not valuing his previous lives so he changes and for his friends and promises to keep fighting for his final life, now Puss, Kitty and Perrito become family] Eat Sleep Shrek Repeat

this is the ultimate self indulgence over responsibility film, and it attacked my belief system, belief attacked 1. there are bad wishes, belief attacked 2. with great power comes great responsiblility. Fuck This Movie
