Honestly i feel like if you have a pulse an are active in your church youll get into Liberty. I took a gap year from high school with a sub standard GPA. Only got a 19 on the ACT, but had a good essay with the help of my youth pastor an got accepted back in 2005
In my experience, I wish someone would have told me how a lot of people from Lynchburg don’t like students not from Virginia. There’s a stigma about people not from Lynchburg with the influx of non locals to the area because of the school. The city was not designed for the influx of students that come each year and the graduates that stayed.

Liberty University Online program is horrible!!!! stay away!!! Teachers are okay but some are horrible online! Watch out for Turabian formatting. The system there and the way it is running destroys its own students. Also, you will not see or talk to your teachers online. Their online program can't compare to Oral Roberts University.

He is attending as a transfer student this year, 2022-2023, will be in the Quads, his Major is B.S. in Politics and Policy and a BA in music. I don’t know if it’s different on campus but it sure is with liberty university online. The teachers rarely respond, if you report it the offices don’t do anything about it and I’m taught to “learn it for myself”. If that was the case why am I in school? I’ve wasted a whole semester on them when I could’ve gone to a better school to get a certification from the start. If you can only learn by people showing you I wouldn’t recommend liberty university online.
This was my same experience with the online program. It was okay in the beginning but further along some classes just didn’t work well with the style of figure it all out yourself with no actual teacher. RU-vid has some good lectures by professors from other universities where I could actually reinforce what I read in the textbook.
@@BratzFanz123 yes, I’m feeling like that now! I don’t know if other schools overlap their summer courses, but that combined with discussion boards that don’t have to do with the material, assignments with vague instructions and no actual professor has me so stressed out. It was okay in the beginning but getting close to completing the degree it’s lacking educationally and academically for learning & career preparation. Also they put no week break in between the spring and summer semester adding to more burnout. The experience on campus must be different I guess. Well, now I’ve learned how to be more selective in looking for a different school for a master’s degree!
Liberty university is the biggest joke of a school I have ever come across. I have never seen the level of incompetence that I have experienced at this sorry excuse for a school. I wish wish wish I had never even heard the name liberty university. They give Christian education a horrible reputation!! It's a good thing that Christianity doesn't operate like this school or it would have died a long....long....long...loooong time ago. Don't waste your money by attending this unorganized, deceiving, excuse for a school!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

ORU used to have some solid professors, teachers. But if Dr Kay(English Dept) is still there, well let me just say; that's a sad situation. She taught the communist manifesto (honors class) ... it was shocking. I hope ORU doesnt allow communist manifesto professors there anymore, YOU CAN GET THAT IN THE WORLD. ORU WAS FOUNDED ON CHRIST, and should ALWAYS reflect freedom and ALL that comes w that. Students deserve better than communist teaching. ORU does not belong to man-->> THAT University belongs to God... AND it would be good if the leaders remember that. Dr Rutland (the first president after Richard Roberts was there) was awesome & quite a leader. .
