I’m a motovlogger from Massachusetts. I ride around on my Can Am Ryker Sport doing fun stuff and vlogging about stuff and things. You'll find that I throw in some other random videos with skits and involve my family and friends as well. Take a look around and I hope you enjoy your stay here at BPE.
Hi lots great was looking to do this gal but have to find a mother was of getting to my house my province charge me 135 for a part I got from slingmodors , it’s car tax
Had a 13 RT with the 998 absolutely loved that motor it was a beast without the tune. That's a solid lifter motor so more of a high performance (solid lifters help with handling higher RPM's) engine de-tuned for the spider the potential in that engine is more than what has been allowed on these machines. These years also where more locked down with what was called by dealers as Nanny Features... The stability control was more sensitive ... ABS more sensitive ..... Which would de-tune the engine when the rear wheel looses traction also. At least this is the way I understood it and experienced it. So a experienced spirited rider was held back by these features. The only way around according to of course Sales people was to buy a newer one with the 1330.... Good engine but definitely not the same experience initially. The one thing I like over the two on the SE6 is the clutch system. As it was explained to me the earlier Spyders with this system on 998's was similar to a centrifugal clutch like a mini bike but of course more complex.... I experienced a few quirks in my 13 over my 40 thousand miles. The Spyders starting in 14 with the newer engine received a full Hydraulic controlled system and it is smoother but does use engine oil and can be affected by in frequent oil changes. It also may be sensitive to oil brands as the make up of these various oils differ.... I don't think Monster is in business any longer though for tuning these earlier ECUs... My 13 I offten flew a wheel on corners and the engine quickly had power cut and the ABS would apply opposite side braking to get that flying wheel back on the ground... It may or may not also apply rear wheel braking but I assumed the engine throttle cut would do just as good... So overall great machines for people who are not say long time veteran riders with expectations moving from two wheels to the Y configured trike.
In August of 2022, I bought the last of the 2021 new canam ryker Sport Rally in Phoenix, Arizona. 🤪 since then, I've ridden to Lake Tahoe, done the Million Dollar Highway US 550 south from Delta Colorado. I have also ridden I 25 north to Colorado Springs and then up Pikes Peak 14,110ft to the summit. During both rides, I never left Sport Mode. Only once have I ever gotten into Rally Mode, and that was once on a short dirt road east of Farmington, New Mexico, on my way to Taos, New Mexico, at which time w got into the most horrific sleet, rain and hail storm I'd ever gotten myself into September 2022. But, all of the time, I'd been riding, 16thousand miles, I never understood Standard Mode, and the instruction book just was too vague. Thanks for your input. Although I never went or tried to operate in Standard Mode. The only time I ever used Eco Mode is when I rode the Ryker home from the NASH Dealership in Mesa, Arizona, about 100 miles east of where I live. Every time I'd try to turn a corner, the Nanny would cut the power, I knew I couldn't have that. So from then on, it was Sport Mode for me.
So would the cheapest option be buy a base Rally, then order whatever parts/accessories from the dealer and aftermarket suppliers to customize it yourself your needs? Seems like that would be the way to go. Thoughts?
Ryker is shaft drive the Spyder is belt drive. That in itself is an upgrade. I used to own a Spyder but never felt safe riding on dirt roads so I got rid of it as I was always worried about the belt snapping which is not a problem with shaft drive. Unfortunately I can't afford the Ryker because in Australia they cost an arm and a leg. I've now got an 82 Honda VF 750 Magna with a sidecar. It's shaft drive and with the sidecar I can carry everything I need which is one thing you can't do on the Ryker.
Oh, Ryan! I am so, so sorry!! I am so sad you won't be coming to VAMM...I just answered one of your comments on my Hawaii video and didn't realize this. I sure hope you come back...real life DOES come first...Hugs and prayers, friend! 🙏🏼🙏🏼😔😔💜💜💚💚
I have had bad stuff happen on dirt bikes, MANY years ago, but I personally cannot let fear stop me from doing something I have loved since I was 8 years old. I do understand what you are going through, and I completely agree that you have to do what is right for YOU and your family. They say that after a very traumatic event, people should not make big decisions, because they often regret them. We certainly will miss seeing you, and riding with you at VAMM24. Perhaps things will settle down and you will join us in 25. No doubt you had insurance to cover the damage, etc, but it sounds like a major flaw on the Ryker. Have you called the Law Tigers to see what they have to say? If not, you should consider it, at least. I'm glad you were not seriously injured. Be safe, Ryan.
Sorry that happened to your bro. Keep us updated on how the Cvt blew up please, you installed the upgraded clutch right? Did you put a new belt when you did that? Also there is some measurement that are supposed to be taken and bolts replaced and stuff torqued to spec In sequence I'm sure. Your was probably pushing 100+ crank hp
Dang man, really sorry to hear about this. Glad you weren't seriously hurt. Hopefully it's not a total loss on the Ryker. As far as taking care of "life". 100% understand, take care of yourself, we'll be here should you decide to return.
Holy hell! Hopefully one day you can see it through the lens of time and say, "Remember that time the Ryker tried to gnaw off my leg!?!" and have a laugh.
Hate to hear this, but family does come first, hope that all goes well my friend glad thar we got to meet you hope that we will see you again, but still keep us updated with what is going on 😂😂😂
I'm terribly sorry about your Bike, but like you said, real life comes first. You have always been honest, genuine and transparent. RU-vid will have to be secondary. You and your family come first. BPE is great, but there's no BPE without Ryan. Ryan has to take the forefront now, for however long he needs to. Just know that you've got folks in your corner Dude.
Wow, it even drew blood when it exploded! Sorry to hear it, but glad you weren't hurt worse than you were. I hope you come back to YT as I really liked watching your content, not many channels like yours out there. Take care in any case, hope to see you back eventually! 👍👍
Sorry to hear your bike is dead. That's terrible. Take care Ryan. Yes life comes first. Hope to see you get things sorted man. I have had a decent break from RU-vid. It really isn't a priority.
