I have the 2017 model and while it is a great bike the seating position does indeed really gets uncomortable on any journey longer than an hour, currently looking at another bike because of it and its a shame because the xmax is a really good bike otherwise. I think i will end up on a naked bike or some sort of touring bike.

@AhmedHasan91 in car parking lot of the Rebel night club. If you go mid week and late late night, you can actually get on the pier and get even better image with no dancing behind you. Google map..Rebel night club off Polson pier .
@AhmedHasan91 the later the better ! Like past midnight and you'll get on the dock. Do check events at Rebel night club ! Cause when they open then it's busy af !
@rossanasnezana I was also referring to just the loud music and not the type of music, I would say the same thing for any genre of music that is blasted loudly in a public setting. I'm for all music but when it's like this, it's not music and simply noise pollution...
Took a pic of my first bike at that lot off of Cherry St in 2007. What did you film this on? The bar at Yonge and Dundas square you're talking about was the Hard Rock Cafe. Next time you come to Toronto give me a shout, I'll show you how motorcycles do just fine getting through the city 😏

I'm looking forward for more videos about the Yamaha YZF R3, Im thinking of buying one next summer as i live in Europe and got to wait till i'm 20 to get the A2 licence. But i dont know if its worth it to buy a R3 with those 42 what so ever Horsepower, im riding the Yamaha YBR 125 right now. Its fun, its just slow.
@FranciscoGarcia-vh2ye it's a low tone frequency hum to a whistle. The air flow around the bar to the roof causes turbulence and can become annoying especially if you're running a rag top ! Then you get buffeting on the canvas. The aerolids light cover works best for that. You'll mostly experience this at highway speeds
@alexperea20 these are the yamaha accessory skit plates then we hade them powdercoated black. Look up your local yamaha motor website and go to the accessories page to find and order yours for your region.
I just got an R7 a couple weeks ago and was amazed at how smooth the ride was, cant complain other than it was a little tall for me, currently having it lowered
@joshcarey770 just make sure what you do for the back,.do in front you. If you can. I would suggest you shave the seat and learn to tippytoe instead of altering the suspension. You'll get used to the stopped hight.
@philipfabbricante7378 I simply ordered off Amazon canada. It does help a little. Not 100% gone especially if you're running a soft top. You'll still feel it.

@@seanlawrence8951 nah not that much. The place on the bar where I wanted to fit it, the bar was too thin. But after putting some tape on that side to make it thicker it fit nicely.
DR every day. In 28 years your T7 be just a distant memory while the DR will be still smashing trails. As far as ugly goes maybe have a look in the mirror Pal.
Yamaha blue is too flat, black looks cheap on an already cheap and plastic tank. I got this one too because the paint has the most depth, and I plan to PC the wheels anyways
U.S its 13k. Sucks you in canada gotta pay an extra 3k. I wouldn't be buying it then. I would have to go for the 2021-2023 gen 3. Love the bike itself gonna be a blast from hell to own and ride. Also, TST is already in production stage for windscreen. Bike looks great people need to get over the headlights. You dont see them, They went for a sleek modern look. It has been dubbed the Iron man. You now get a gen 3 up/down quickshifter, dual portion seat instead of the ugly 1 piece, 5 inch TFT display. Cruise control, auto cancelling turn signals, inverted forks(adjustable) and maps. Etc.
FWIW, I have a XR650L for 18yrs, been great as a trail bike but lately considering the DR (which has a cush drive rear wheel) for more comfort on the road to the trails..the XRL does not have cush drive rear wheel and is tiring at hiway speed..I believe it makes a difference..have a Vstrom 650 for longer trips but sucks at anything tougher than forest roads..hoping the DR splits the difference between the XRL and Vstrom..
Good vid I was unsure if the original plunger could be detached just one point on knock off levers pull them very hard to make sure they dont trigger adjustment I had some on a speed triple let me down by clicking one notch closer which reduced my braking while coming up behind a slow moving car it almost wiped me out
