I'm moving to the area in December, I'm going to be working in Casa Grande and I'm trying to decide where I wanna live between Casa Grande and Eloy, I grew up in a town of 22,000 people in the Midwest so I'm leaning towards Eloy, but I need to dive in the school district because my grandson who is 12 is coming with me.
It’s a cool concept but the price point isn’t any cheaper than a wood built house. The news was pushing this like it would help solve housing affordability,I guess either the tech isn’t there yet or volume isn’t enough..
Same thing happened to me at Best Buy same price I think they marked it down because they thought they weren’t getting any more stock to I put it on my notify list surely enough some came in and I snatch one up.
Really liked that home but missing kitchen cabinet space. I'm in the market to buy in casa Grande and be in by mid October. I want a 3/4 bdrm 2/3 bth 2 car garage. I want the yard walled in and would prefer to have a gate for a trailer or rv. I would also like a good size back covered porch. Low hoa is ok it would depend on what you get. Been looking for a while and i'm starting to get a feel for what is there. Price point $285-$325. Willing to jump on the right property very soon.
100% agree. I was coming to make that same comment. Sure would have been nice to see what you were looking at instead of looking at you talking about what you were seeing. I appreciate all your effort and hope this is beneficial in improving your videos for the viewers.
Just to add to your discussion .... IDK if it was said but if so i missed it... but besides the drive line (which she nailed... it's atrocious... ) but aside from the driveline i do have a few other issues with the school... 1) they dont serve lunch. No lunch is provided by the school so you either have to pack a lunch or spend anywhere between $5-$11 depending on your selection and order from a catering service called my hot lunchbox. The order needs to be in by 6pm the night before (but you can order daily or in any increment you want really ... as long as your order is in by 6pm the day before so that your child can get it at lunchtime) so in the off chance that you say plan to pack your child a lunch and the morning gets hectic and crazy or if you typically pay that insane price just for the sake of convenience but either miss a day when ordering or if you forget to order if you're someone who does it say once a month or something... whatever the reason if your child goes to school and you havent set something up the day before and dont pack a lunch for them ...... there's no lunch that they are able to purchase on the spot ... you can drop something off... but if you're a parent who works... that's not always possible so just be mindful of that 2) if your child is late (and as you heard they are either walking or you're driving them) but if they are late they cant go to class. (To be fair i think they do get 3 freebies for the year before this corrective action take effect but ... ) They are marked absent from the class and sent to something called sweep? From what I understand from my daughter it's more or less a detention til the next class begins because they don't want kids coming in late as their grand entrance will in some way distract the class from what they are engaged in? This seems crazy to me, and I have yet to be able to wrap my head around how this makes any sense at all... sure... punctuality is important- but sometimes- not all the time - but sometimes that tardy is not even the kids fault but they are gonna be punished for it by missing out on the entirety of the lesson being taught, they won't be able to make that work up, they'll get an absense in the class (of which they are only allowed I think 5 all year long before they get no credit for that class at all .... ) I mean, it just seems unnecessary and backwards to me ... kids get sick... they'll miss some school.. in fact there are rules now if I'm not mistaken that if the child is physically sick, they need to be kept home the following day... am I remembering that correctly? Idk ... just these couple of policies really get to me- i dont agree with them, and i really dont like them... Oh and 3) I almost forgot... they are required to take an elective or a sport or something... but these all have fees attached to them ... my daughter plays soccer her fees for this past time around were $200 These few things might not make a bit of difference to some people , and I might even sound ridiculous for mentioning them ..... overall my daughter seems ok with the school... she has not openly complained to me about it by any means but she used to love school... I mean really really love it. She liked going, she liked the social aspect and seeing her friends, she loved learning and was just excited about it... she started 6th grade at Heritage this year and idk... maybe its just the age shes at or whatever, but excitement would not be on the list of words to describe her attitude towards school, not now nor has it been all year long.
Thanks Sean, for telling the public about life in Maricopa,AZ. I've been kicking around whether to move to AZ or NV for a few years now, and Phoenix has just earned the title of City with the most Home evictions which can and will lead to an increase in crime, etc. Also, I have been doing my "due diligence" in that timeframe,and except for the common complaint of the "horse manure smell"in the city, Maricopa still seems to be desirable.
I agree we are not as affordable as we used to be, but there’s still some pockets that are pretty affordable and we’re still 10 times better than California
You went to the west side we get 2 degrees on the east and snow!! Ps visit small towns it is so kind when people help out small businesses like my grandmas (junk and Java ) Eagar az
