My mom passed away 2 years ago since back then I've been depressed and every day it's really hard to cope with it I started exercising and tried to divert myself but by the Eod it was not working so I decided to start my freelance journey I was feeling 50% better and then another strategy took place my grandfather passed away he was my mentor and everything I ever imagined all I felt was broken & alone. Now it's almost 3 years I have insomnia, fatigue, depression heaviness in my chest & my stomach gets upset whenever I think about this stuff & I'm losing interest in things that I used to enjoy like sports and my freelance thing I got thinking like what after I become successful no one is there to watch me then why I should struggle. since they passed I never stopped wondering what would I give to have them back for just one more day If that happened what I would say? I do not disagree with anything in this video as it all can be true depending on the situation. But, situations where control by one person is probably the least common, but tend to be more severe in nature. But when we look at domestic violence as a whole, the power struggle comes from both sides. Unfortunately, Alcohol plays a much bigger role, and until researchers and government agencies start to take it serious, we will never see any significant improvements. I wrote a book, and would encourage everyone to give it a read. It cost $2.99 and can be found on Amazon. The name is Domestic Violence The Forbidden Truth, Alcohol and Violence by Edward Wallace. I do not think you will regret it, as most people spend more that that on a cup of coffee. The fact is, alcohol is a cause of violence and is much more than just an excuse. Social media has opened a can of worms on this issue. Everybody is now so accessible & posting stuff every single minute plus there’s some that really don’t think before posting things that could result in a negative impact in many people. There is such a fixation on being “perfect”, having the body of “Barbie” etc etc etc yet there is no such thing as perfect. But if say someone you like is on social media and they’re saying these things aren’t important what matters is your heart & soul yet every single picture/video they post they’re surrounded by “pretty people” it can have such a deadly impact on the person. It shows that person has lied continuously & the aesthetics of a person is the only thing they want to show on their profiles. We do need to step back from the socials every now & then. And the socials need to also step up a hell of a lot more & ban the trolls/bullies/“idiots” from the platforms.
