Notes from the match: Great defending + using their sticks to mark as well as their bodies 1:09:03 Great use of communication ("clear, space") 1:13:32 Using their bodies to defend and mark their player 1:13:54 good stickwork, fast feet, precise cradling and cushioning 1:14:01 Spacing out and cutting and driving in 1:14:39 keeping it low when shooting 1:16:23 Instead of standing still and asking for the ball, you are moving into space 1:17:12 using the left hand of the stick on one side, and the right for the other when near the goal 1:19:12 players are using fakes and dodges to get past the defender 1:21:15 shouting RED when attackers are entering the 11 or fan 1:21:12 3 defenders all marking one player when in the 11, attacker using "stop and go" (dodging), kept the red clear so that there was lots of space by the goal 1:24:03 Good reactions at free positions 1:26:12 players on both sides making use of the space. Syracuse likes to use big dodges, so making use of the space is very important. 1:28:23 attackers break away from their defenders well and use their hips to determine the way they're going 1:29:12 using ground balls effectively (step squat scoop speed)
Thank you for posting this I became a goalie this year after break my nose and I'm already on two varsity teams but I still have so much to learn so i've been trying to watch how college goalies play
Can we get more lacrosse games to watch during quarantine?🤩🤩 There are usually none on RU-vid besides national championship and semifinal games and Maryland vs UNC games
Loved the clear by Moreno that should have been a big ten standout goalies plays and defensive plays don't get enough credit most of the time it's goalies that decide whether a team wins or loses and loved the way moreno and sofield tried to help steele when she went down that was great sportsmanship
