That's true nonsense, i sell websites and the only reason i use builders is to cut the production time, clients won't have to pay 10k for something that could cost them 5k if i use a website builder, also with plug-ins you can make killer seo and link them to social media ads managers.
hey, to be honest, learning HTML, CSS, and stuff is more better than using a website builder. not only it gives you a new skill, but also freedom to control your website.
You're not wrong but the people who DON'T know what they're doing gravitate immediately to these platforms. So along with the inferior SEO capabilities that's a major reason why. The land of noobs, and if your developer or designer uses these platforms you should know you've been had by someone else who doesn't know what their doing.
This guy is complete and total BS, for most SMBs, website builder is much better than WordMess... total cost of ownership, more secure, far less hands-on time managing it. I've personally set up hundreds of Duda, Squarespace websites for business and they're blazing fast, secure and no WordMess headaches. Forget this guy.
The truth is companies like Wix rely on people believing they can do it themselves. Most business owners don't have the experience in Marketing, Advertising, SEO etc. That is why, aside from the lacking technical platform, that doing it yourself is a terrible idea and you'll have 💩for SEO if you use these platforms!
comments aren't a reliable go to source for validity because people mistake truth along with facts for negativity and scams for good marketing . We can be put our two cents in without being an attack to others growth along with having business based on integrity and TRANSPERANCY. No word spinning.
WordMess's day has come and gone, it's still good for a few uses.. i.e., Affiliate Marketing and those who obsess daily about hacking and tweaking SEO.. maybe they're flipping sites when they rank , but builders such as: Duda, WOC, Squarespace, Wix... even Hostinger, have come a long way and are better choice for average SMB who needs a website without the WordMess headaches and hidden costs.
Have you considered an alternative career? May be Comedy? I mean running a RU-vid channel for 5+ years with 288 subscribers must definitely be painful.
Wix has transformed how small business owners make websites. It is a good platform, and the best part is that are constantly improving. And yes it does allow you to manage SEO, without paying additional fee. I've been using it for years, you should use it. Google is also evolving with the internet.
@suzc2167 what he mentioned was true about 8 years ago…. Guess he missed the boat! Wix is better than ever and SEO is just as good hes just mad he spent years learning to code then to get replaced by new tech lol
Hire a professional instead of trying to do it yourself with a platform like WIX or any other. What these platforms do is make you think you can do it yourself, which you can't do it well unless you've got the experience. That's the point. Doing it yourself takes TONS of time and effort and ends up looking like crap and that's terrible for SEO.

I opted for a blue hosted Wordpress site bc all these RU-vid bloggers told me to do it that way and that it’d be SO easy, and after spending many hours trying to figure things out I’m like, am I really that incompetent with technology?? Turns out these RU-vidrs are full of it.
