If anyone is reading this comment, I live in Bracknell and I go to town weekly for a little shop or look around! It has became better and sadly the deck is still unfinished (because of covid) but they are working on it. If you are thinking about going to the lexicon,Go there! It’s amazing!
Its nice they will keep the iconic Tower once the old building is demolished, im surprised no Urbex abandoned explorers from youtube have been in there yet as it would make good content.
And now, it's currently under demolition by Slough Borough Council, to make way for a new housing development by Berkeley Homes, featuring five 14-storey blocks of flats. Calls for the iconic Horlicks factory to become a listed building were rejected, following an announcement from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). A petition with more than 1,300 signatures asking for the building in Stoke Poges Lane to be listed was started shortly after GlaxoSmithKline’s announcement in July 2018 to close the factory; however, the DCMS announced on Wednesday, May 16 that, while the Horlicks war memorial on-site would be granted a Grade II listing, the only Edwardian Factory left in Slough would not be listed, as "it wasn't innovative at the time" nor "the first of its kind".
