Elixir® Strings was born in 1997. Although we were working with guitar strings already, they weren’t anywhere near a guitar. Instead, we were using them as convenient test subjects in our attempt to develop a better variety of push-pull cable. The coated strings worked quite well as cables, but they sounded terrible as guitar strings. (Picture a guitar strung with day-old spaghetti.)
Working closely with a global player community of more than 15,000, we sought feedback and continued to fine-tune until we produced a coated string with proven long tone life. We had at last developed a coated string judged just right by the most demanding test equipment in the world: musicians’ ears.

Timely information. My other thinking on this was that my pinky should take the low note and my middle and ring take the two upper notes, while holding the pick and not using it, this other recommendation is a strategy with merit. My reason for doing this is because of my great interest in learning a song by Fairport Convention, the, the the Great! The Awesome. And yes I will say it. The Divinely Mandated.
Pls how do i get your book john and im having this serious issue with 5 strings bass guitar, i gues i would say its an high action problem sfter watching thus video, definitely that means i have to get an allen key to reduce the action cus due to this issue my bass strings isnt comfy for me to play most times i grt sores on my hands 😢😢😢😢 Pls Mr John would getting an allen key n reducing be the only solution to thst problem?

Is it just me or are those string height targets REALLY high? I know John Caruthers is renowned for his skills and abilities, is it possible he mis-spoke himself? Maybe he means 4/64ths, rather than 4/32nds? That would be unusually low, I know but..... 4/32nds? So 8/32nds? Would that even be playable? What string heights do people normally set their Fender basses to?

Well not only did they rock but you rock sung well done well done to turn my son I'd be proud of you. You're a great guitar player no joke you have a professional type field to your plan I think you could go far the hard thing is right and original stuff whenever record has been used every multiplecords it is safe and so hard come up with something that doesn't sound like something else being that there's so many recordings of so much music that now exist it's hard to put together 1234 50 Any number of chords anymore and I mean it sounds like something so somebody else's already done that's so hard to come up with something original at this point it was some people still pull it off man.
A syncopated hot chick, in a syncopated outfit, playing a funky syncopated bass lick, on a badass syncopated bass, teaching us a lesson on bass syncopation while simultaneously talking, counting and singing improv about how she can syncopate! What more could a syncopated bass lover wish for!!! I'll be practicing this exercise for sure! Thank you Yolanda Charles! ❤
