I have mild adhd (I don't need medication/no prescription) low dose stims will help, and high dose will affect me like a neurotypical taking a lower dose Also those with ADHD are more seceptable to depressant addiction

Adhd actually isnt technically an attention DEFICIT also! It is a dysregulation. That's why hyperfocus exists in ADHD. What it IS a deficiency of is dopamine, so we become distractible to attach to any dopamine in our environment but ALSO won't pull away from things we enjoy. It also contributed to lesser known symptoms like emotional dysregulation and rejection sensitive dysphoria
It's more accurate to just say ADHD causes bad things to be hyperactive and stimulants activate good things, stimulants don't put anything on brakes as much as they're activating things that should be active anyways but aren't.
And then they get addicted to their Adderall and their vyvanse. And they can't go a day without it. Not because they need it to live. But because they "need" it
I remember hearing somewhere that adhd is caused by a dopamine deficiency which leads to constantly seeking stimulation. Because of that, i assumed that it was dopamine production that was being stimulated.
ADHD that you gain from a bad attention span is this way but genetic ADHD which is typically much worse isn’t caused by this I have genetic ADHD and am not the same person when I’m not on my ADHD meds it’s like I’m spectating the voices in my head sometimes
You are actually correct, plus a dopamine deficiency makes you depressed and unable to feel motivated which ADHD medicine at least good ones also help with.
I make abstract paintings using a mixture of multiple mediums including fluid art. I use a ratio of acrylic paint, Flood Floetrol Pouring Medium, and water and that’s what I was mixing. 😀
