I'm about to apply for citizenship next month, Couple of questions - Firstly, did you mention all travels in the 6 weeks abroad section in the online application ? I discussed with someone who already got their citizenship that they just put all travels in that section and not just the one which exceeded 6 weeks. Secondly, Did you in the last part of the application where they ask for any additional information you wish to share, write anything (in 1000 characters) regarding your motivation for citizenship, some other details etc ? Again had asked someone about this and they did write some details regarding their motivation, level of integration(language) etc and apparently got decision in less than 2 weeks. As I said I'm applying next month after adding 7 weeks to my application as I exceeded that in 2020 and just wanted to know specifically from you about these 2 questions in your application. :)
Upto an extent this problem is universal not limited to Sweden. But we need to be positive in these circumstances and find out better ways to settle down.

For Indian nationals there are hardly any advantages for getting a PR or a citizenship. It is more suitable for people from other countries facing wars, poor economic conditions, no jobs, social problems at a very large scale. Even after getting a passport and knowing the language at an advanced level there is no guarantee of a high paying job. Once people get a passport, buy a house and permanently settle, it is very hard to move if there is a good job opportunity elsewhere and even to sell the house quickly.
If we have kids then getting Swedish citizenship is an advantage and probably a good backup to have. Free education till post-graduate, less competition and no disadvantage like India if one belong to general merit. With EU passport, its easier to work in other EU countries and one can switch for high paying job/take up remote jobs/become consultants/take more risk, if one aspires to earn more. Also moving after buying a house and settling is always difficult even if we move between different states/cities within India. If good opportunity comes and if someone is willing to bear short-term inconvenience, then moving for a good opportunity is same either within India or abroad, either being Indian citizen or not, Indian resident or not. And almost all the advantages of India can be enjoyed with an OCI card too, so doesn't really harm to have a backup western country passport.
@@roamwithashutosh you said children who lived 3 years here can apply for PR but i have heard that once your child(under 18 years)spend 3 years in sweden then you can apply for passport directly instead of PR.
Hello guys, I have mentioned that you may not need PR for citizenship but I was wrong. You need to have PR and you must have spent 5 years in Sweden. My bad.
In Short - Indian passport mei advantage nahi hai, swed passport mei advantage hai and thats the truth. Bhai agar koi kuch boley tho kan band karo aagay bado
Just to add, most likely the number of years of residence will also increase along with language requirements. As per the current investigation, they are also planning to increase the number of years of residence from 5 to 8.
@@chiragthakkar4555 you applied yourself or company did it on your behalf? Usually its very quick (fast tracked) if company files it on your behalf. It can take much longer if you filed the application yourself. Can’t comment on exact time.
I don't have much idea but my company told me to fill up one form from the sttarvekt website where I filled all the personal information and attached my all educational and work related documents and couriered it to Swedish Migration board at Stockholm, so no idea if application is initiated from my side or employer already did it. But I have been told that I will get response within 45 days.

Sweedish sekho sift Englist se kaam nahi chalta agar survive hona hai. If you dont respect any country's language then the person has no authority to live and take benefits!!!. Its like same as if you go to chennai and you dont learn Tamil people may not be friendly with you.
You being a South Asian saying this is disgusting. People do not become friends with people who speak the same language. Friendliness is a choice and a character not a barter. Swedish give citizenship without language so good.

My mother (while she was in Sweden on tourist visa) slipped on icy road and fractured her arm and the first thing the Doctors asked her was whether someone hit her. We were waiting for a doctor to check on her for 8 hours and once he came, instead of looking at the fracture, he first asked me to go out of the room and started probing my mother on who hit her. They started the x-ray only after my mother convinced them that she slipped and fell. I believe the Swedish authorities do this on purpose, specially with brown skinned people as they regard outsiders (even legal immigrants) as some third world people where these things are normal.
I used to work in scandic hotel but work permit not extended due to the new work permit rules.I really feel that Sweden government do unfair with semi skill forniger worker.This rule can be new work permit application holder but those who spent few years here how can they meet new salary within short time.Thats indirect way to remove imigrants.

As a general rule, you can no longer come to europe to make money. because after pandemic and war in ukraine, living expenses are out of control, even in germany. You come to europe to have a peaceful life. To earn in europe and take your money back to india, you would have to live here for 15 to 20 years. It makes sense to do this if you are starting from scratch in India.
