Remember the words of Jesus on the cross regarding His mother.. don’t you remember what Simeon said to Mary… read the church fathers.. Oh! That’s right .. Sola Scriptura🤦♂️.. or perhaps even worse.. literal.. I wish I saw more people who believe in this with eyes plucked out and hands cut off! 🤦♂️. If OUR Blessed Mother had said “NO!” to Gabriel.. God would have respected her Free Will.. and where would we all be then??? But she said “Yes”.. be grateful!!! Think of the incredible suffering she endured for that “Yes”.. a suffering not only for HER son but for all of us! 🤦♂️🙏🙏
My priest would say I made a good Confession, but I'm self-conscious that I hem and haw or that I'm oblique. Last time was in a Byzantine church (Ruthenians) over the weekend. However, in any rite, I feel like I could be clearer.
Catholics with their icons . . . idolatry!!! Come out of her my people lest ye partake of her (Catholic Church and it's anti-Christ doctrines) sins (breaking of God's moral law) and receive of her plagues . . . For her sins have reached unto heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities" Rev 18:4,5. Catholicism, it'd rather follow tradition over God's Holy Word, the bible. Study the bible more Catholics and not just listen to priests like this guy.

Byzantine Catholics please come home to orthodoxy, you know the bishops that forced you to become Catholic did it for the wrong reasons, largely wealth and protections against Rome itself. God help our eastern Catholic brothers come back home!
@@JoeMama-ie6cz the Orthodox Church and the Roman church were once one church, in the 800s political interests via the franks started to insert that Rome had special authority over all Bipshops, Rome itself found this appalling at the time and fought against it for 200 years. Pope Leo the 3rd even declaring “the day that the Pope of Rome declares authority over other bishops consider him a precursor to the antichrist”. By the 1000s that Frankish idea of papal authority won out and they created 5 fake documents and forged them as if signed by Jesus their bishops agreeing to the idea that the pope has authority over the rest of the churches understanding of synodal ecumenical authority across all bishops. Forever they’ve propped up the Pope with these documents. Now The Vatican itself as well as many Roman Catholic apologists will admit that these documents were fake. This over time lead to a lot of departure of tradition. The Catholic Church amassed a lot of wealth and power and even an army, something that the East (those who are and were still orthodox) detested. Due to this power in the 16th and 17th centuries when The Catholic Church was expanding its power east and trying to force people to convert to Catholicism by the sword they forced a bunch of orthodox churches to convert by the sword, out of fear and a desire for wealth (because the Orthodox Church historically has been a lot more poor than the Roman Catholic Church) these bishops gave up the heart of orthodoxy and converted while many lay people were martyred fighting against Rome. They are now saints in the church. It’s a tragedy. Rome doesn’t care about true apostolic tradtion, just that you give power to the Pope.
I've been attending Mass recently at this very church, and the priest just gave a tiny hint at the history of the Byzantine Catholics in the US. I was really glad to see this video. Thank you.
From my experience in the Byzantine rite, it's the sign of the cross and a short prayer. I can't recall what but the penitent is supposed to say the act of contrition.

If this doesn't outline the history BEFORE the Latin schism from the only standing church of the first 1000 years (eastern orthodoxy), then it is doing a great disservice to all. The latin church never should have existed ("Roman Catholic").
I wish I could find the priest who is the best for me to confess to. I need to discuss and confess, but that's not confession. We are all different and we can be discouraged if not acceptable to the situation, and are told not to keep confessing sins of the past, but we know God has forgiven but we need to be able to finish what we need to say, that doesn't always happen and you go away feeling you still need to confess, it may be scruples, but we still need guidance through these difficulties
You should find a spiritual director to meet with and talk to outside of Confession to help and discuss issues you have. I won't assume to know your habits but it's best to be quick when receiving Penance. Don't have a therapy session in there if there's a line behind you.
I experienced a visible, tangible miracle through Confession. God knows us and He knows what we need. Never be afraid. Jesus loved the Father and us enough to die for us. The Father loved us enough to sacrifice His Son. Confession was not instituted to hurt us. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.
Like when God told the israelites to gaze upon the bronze serpent on the stake to heal them of snakebites we Catholics gaze upon a Crucifix for the same reason. Jesus said He must be lifted up.

Constantine paganized the church. He changed the day of rest Saturday (shabbat) to sunday to roman god "Sol Invictus" Constantine was sun warshiper (Sol Invictus) he was not Christian. Constantine broke the 10 commandment "Remember the shabbat (Saturday) to keep it holy." If you believe that "sunday is Christian rest day" you were deceived by the church.
Some insight/understanding would be greatly appreciated. What if you sinned deliberately after receiving the Truth where you fell under God’s wrath, punishment takes place where you’re given over to your sin and/or the workings of evil people (Romans 1:24-28, Matthew 5:13) and no sacrifice is left (Hebrews 10:26). How could confession be applicable to such a person or what hope could one possibly have through the parable of the Prodigal Son? In other words, the result of losing your Salvation and sense of connection to Christ (while still alive) occurs due to deliberate sin. Under such a spiritual death/condition, how is God’s infinite mercy still available to such a person/sinner in it’s infinitude? You always hear that Jesus Christ will forgive all sin (except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit) but then those verses I shared seem to suggest the opposite…how can one be forgiven through repentance if they fall under those verses and/or God’s Wrath (Divine Justice for deliberate sin with no sacrifice left)?
I feel so lost. I am latin rite but everything is so secular. They talk and joke about sports tv and media. Ive been to many churches and even confession doesnt leave me satisfied. I am so lost what do i do?
