4 of my friends dodged a fare. The jobsworth enforcement officer followed them to an area with poor CCTV. They tripped him up and took a few items. Don't condone this but he should stay in his lane.
It’s funny the people getting caught are foreign. These fools come here as a guest of this country and scam it. I know in the Middle East and Africa you need to steal to survive but not here.
These people are so good at playing the victim roll,,,, I see a recurring theme in all the fair dodgers,,, Insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting different results,,, Then they cry about how broke the transport system is.
on the one hand, I dont understand why they hire so many people to inspect the those fare dodgers; on the other hand, im totally shocked how much money those people can really avoid. the only ultimate solution is to reduce the price, be realistic, there will be a tradeoff between avoided fare, and those people's salary, but the optimal point is definitely not now. no disrespect to the hardworking people, I can see that must be a stressing job.
19:35 Why the hell are you still using Windows XP as a main CCTV system in 2019? XP went out of support years ago, you're (in this case TFL) just asking for trouble by using such an antiquated OS nowadays, especially in a system that may be connected online and is used on the frontline/in a major government organization. It is of my opinion that TFL computers (or similar) should always use the most up to date hardware and software, otherwise it's a matter of time before they are hacked themselves and lots of customer information is leaked to places you don't want it leaking.
These old CCTV systems are offline, but yeah, it’s still a bit of a problem, since you can connect USB devices with malware to it. It will get sorted out eventually, just like ATMs used to run on windows XP back in 2016
I'm not being funny but clamping down on fare dodgers is fucking ridiculous. There's several cases of rape, domestic abuse, harassment, murders, drug misuse, etc that don't even be bothered to be investigated!! Why? Cuz the jobsworths here seem to think that fare evaders, who probably don't have the money to even put food on the table to pay for fares that are already sky fucking high, are more dangerous than fucking rapists. Is it really worth a person's trauma for a fare worth £2?!! I mean, yes they do lose millions long terms, but don't forget TfL make billions a year even with these fare evaders!! Come on, we need to sort our priorities out
@@markleaning107 are you saying that 99% percent are confused tourists and other 1% British nationals. As the programme seems to have missed your valuable insight or capture such in this series?
@@markleaning107 there is nothing to support your claims in this programme therefore I suspect you are pulling your figures out of the air. You originally said immigration was fantastic! As stated by the tfl staff if the fare prices were made more affordable this would lead to a reduction in fare dodging. Which has nothing to do with immigration or the narrative your seem to wish to portray of the multi cultural and amazing city London has historically always been.
Most of these fare Dodgers are minorities. They'll claim " harassment and racism " if caught. Then file a complaint with the human rights commission. I see it all the time
Minorities living on less than minimum wage in one of the most expensive transport systems in Europe. Let's lower the fares and make it accessible for everyone. Hate has caused so many problems in this world yet it still to solve just one
These TFL people are a complete disgrace 😂🤦♂️ spending all that time on catching a few fare dodgers! But yet the service still sucks and it’s complete crap! TfL give your head a wobble! Also 17:05 what is that thing?
There are worse offenders than petty fare evaders. More effort should be made towards catching violent and dangerous people than towards catching petty fare evaders. If TFL wants to reduce fare evasion, they should lower the fare prices. This will actually give people an incentive to play farely when they use the Tube.
You can see my bank card You not touching it No I’m showing your my address Lastly I’m walking away Touch one finger on me And I will be drawing blood from you body
we have to catch people trying to go to work, better their lives and create taxable income while costing nothing to the system since the trains run empty or full. WE HAVE TO
All about subsidies from the government, London bus and Tube fares have been frozen until 2025. But Tube daily and weekly caps, the price of travelcards and River Bus services, will be going up. The freeze follows an average rise of 5.9% for bus, Tube, rail and tram fares in the capital last year.
18:52 "If youre using the system there's always someone watching" 🤡 Like as if they have the resources and time to track everyone. Look at how much effort just to track one person. Even if they did, the cost/benefit to track free riders would not be worth it. Use diff cards (even single use cirtual cards,, VPNs, geospoof location. Leave no digital or physical track. They wouldnt be able to track you. They only catch people who have some 'consistency'. They would have to hire an entire army of 'analysts' to catch you.
maybe they should put money into improving their archaic service instead of catching teenagers and people who obviously cant afford to pay in the first place
tfl are greedy thieving bastards that overcharge at every chance they get for a decaying system. i know the workers are doing there jobs but im not feeling sorry for monopolists loosing out on their profit margins
I'm dodging as much as I can. I'm sorry but I barely am able to save £20 after outgoings. If I paid for TfL during peak times I'd just make over £10. Sure I've got caught a couple of times and had to pay a fine, but the risk of getting caught does not outweigh paying daily. UK train travel costs are insane compared to rest of the world. I could fly back and forth to Turkey cheaper than get return ticket train from London to north Lincolnshire.
ive only been caught once, didnt get a fine i just had to pay for a ticket, an then 2 mins later we got delayed by over an hour cos a guy on the train refused to get off and he was trying to break into the cab of the train, so had to wait for the police, ended up getting a refund lol, now if the woman came round a minute later i wouldnt needed to buy one
So basically what you have to do is jump the barriers in and out. Wear a balaclava. (No digital trail and no face to be identified) And if the inspectors try to stop you, run for your life.
Or simply carry a single shot release key they are all keyed alike according to tfl t&r book two so it looks like just wearing orange vest with cubic written on it
@@LittleLoz because if everyone collectively refused to pay the rail operators would be forced to lower fares. Same way as if everyone refused to pay their energy bills overnight and withheld payment for several months, it would force the energy companies out of business within weeks and force the government to step in and re nationalise the energy industry on a not for profit basis.
Why do the police use their time and resources to enforce tfl / national rail ticket costs when they are private companies, can I have police assist me with enforcing my invoices from my company 24/7 😂
