BRUH! I have been wondering for YEARS wtf Mutya is saying at 6:34 and I still don't know (but it sounds amazing tho). At least I now know that I'm not the only one. 🤣
This BBC Radio performance was one of my favorite of their recent showings. All 3 ladies brought it (as usual). I've always gravitated more towards Mutya I think because her voice is just so rich and unique. She has this rare, funky tone somewhat similar to T-Boz, but has the vocal ability of a more traditional R&B singer. Keisha's voice is straight R&B, yet versatile enough to blend perfectly into other genres kind of like how Beyonce's does. She's also the vocal powerhouse to me. All of the ladies are belters, but if you need someone to come in on one take and take us to church real quick on the last chorus, Keisha's your girl. And Siobhan's voice is just so angelic and her high notes can cut through steel. Her voice also floats over seemingly any genre of music. They're all just so incredible. I wish more people in the US knew about them.
I'm a new subscriber, so forgive me if I missed it, but do you plan on doing any more Little Mix reactions? I see you have a few already. But some GREAT ones to check out would be "Secret Love Song" from their show "Little Mix: The Search" (it features just the remaining 3 members), "Sweet Melody" on the Jonathon Ross Show and also on the MTV EMAs (both with just the 3), and "No More Sad Songs" from the LM5 Tour (just to name a few). I'd love to hear your take on some of those and more!
Thank you for subscribinggg🥹🥹🥹 Ah,Little Mix. I'll have to check them out again! I havent really seen their trio work but I'm not opposed to it. Thank you for watching!
Mutya's voice was always my favorite (and that's saying something because all of them are FANTASTIC), but I do notice the difference all those years of smoking have made. But her newer super low register is goooooorgeous. And I agree with you on preferring Heidi's arrangement, but I still prefer Siobhan's voice on the track. But I appreciate them trying something new to spruce up some of the old songs. But I really hope they put out more new music. This is their time!
Oh trust you me,I LOOOOOVE her extended lower register. It gives the group so much more vocal dimension and reach. It's unheard of. Kind of reminds me of En Vogue where the group members ranges are so different the possibilities are endless!
@@iKETOURAGE Ooh, yes! I miss when groups were formed with each person having a specific function, even if they weren't all leads or deviated from time-to-time. Because Maxine's low tones balanced out the other ladies' higher registers in En Vogue. Same with Michael in Boyz II Men, and LaTavia in Destiny's Child. Each lady's voice in Sugababes is so distinct, but fits like a puzzle piece at the same time. I love it!
Personally, I wish they had Siobhan take the first verse (which was originally Heidi's) as her voice fits better with the brightness of the song. Plus, Siobhan normally sings Heidi's verses anyway, but I get the feeling Mutya wanted to change it up because the first verse is longer. All that said, I think Mutya can sometimes be a little hit/miss because of all her years of smoking. But when she hits it, mama HITS IT!
I agree about the verse change-ups. I like that Keisha takes Heidi's adlibs in "Freak Like Me" so it's not this revolving door or covering replacements lines. I get why they change it up.
@@iKETOURAGE Oh I didn't know that Keisha takes Heidi's ad libs in "Freak Like Me"! I love Keisha's take on them. Yeah it's great that they don't just do a plug-and-play just because the lineup reverted back to the OGs.
I like your reactions though bugs me when people refer to life style changes in her life..shes is not 17/18 but nealy 40..i suggest you look at her singing mirrors in the studio.... Keisha is a bond to the group being with them through out..with out mutya quite frankly theycare nothing without mutya..I saw them last year and was in touching distance and they were brilliant..Plus heide played her part and it was a big part..shes gone now so lets just celebrate the 3 now.ni shade to you..I guess mutya is my fav babe ..her sining with gearge Michael and amy winhous and in a poll in uk years ago mutya was second to Beyonce in this particular poll..All our voices change when we get older plus womens voices change when they have children:)
Thanks For watching! Our voices do change as we age. I,being also 420 friendly know that it caused my voice to change😆 (Not quite as clear in my upper register). It got lower. It's one of those, 2 things can be true at the same time, situations. I adore these girl! This lineup definitely being my favorite (The original). I'm going to check her Masterlink sessions as well. Thank you for the recommendation!
Had to follow. Anyone who takes the time to create anything related to the ‘Babes, I’m here for it. I think the drum beat was throwing them all off especially at the beginning. Mutya was originally intended for the opening of PTB but on the day of recording she wasn’t available to master the verse, so went to Heidi. Now it’s been put right. Mutya always opens, Keisha on 2nd verse and Siobhán or Heidi middle 8’s. I agree that verse doesn’t suit Siobhan. But she kills it. Heidi isn’t strong live. Individual. But not great.
i disagree with the fact that she asks the adience to sing little parts cuz she needs ''support'' it's called having stage presence and she's been like this forever you're trying too hard to force the vocal aging narrative on her
That's fair. Just my perception of what I saw. Age-ing isn't a bad thing is natural. I think to say there's been NO change to her voice over the years would be delusional. We all change.
@@iKETOURAGE i agree it's natural and her voice has changed but she sure isn't strugglling i was at the the tour and her stamina is truly something else and i barely know her dicography her voice has gotten better in my opinion but i respect urs too
Angela Chang who debuted in 2004 is a Taiwanese singer. She has sung countless inspiring songs. But she was later betrayed by her family(mother), who took away her money and slandered her in public. The reason why A diao is so touching is that what she sings in this song is a reflection of herself.
