This was a classic one but I still believe that Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen deserved more time in the movie. But they are all timeless classics

What an enigmatic juxtaposition. An era of pain, suffering, and bigotry that in 2024 leaves one yearning for a decade of relative peace and innocence. May love alway prevail.
I personally think this is an absolutely horrible music recording. I can't even understand the words - Neil Young this is? - that are sung. I never knew he created this nor heard this before. To me it's awful,. I literally have to, and will, look up what words he's singing. Please listen to the song "Philadelphia" BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN sang on the Academy Awards, and the accompanying video (that I think came out later). . THAT still makes me cry to this day. And he sings it far better, you have the added benefit of being able to understand the words. I recently heard Neil Young sing FOUR STRONG WINDS and his voice on that to me is awful, listen to other people's recordings. (Ian and Sylvia especially, Ian wrote that song.) Neil Young wrote a lot of great songs but his singing to me is - sometimes awful. I do like After The Gold Rush, I can understand the words on that and many other songs he did in the past. So I am a fan of Neil's for a great number of songs he did. Again, I cannot even understand the words in this - song he wrote with same title as Springsteen's "Philadelphia", which again I believe is far far better. Look at his video of the song. You can understand every single word.

Whenever I hear this song that quote springs to mind...I imagine a bunch of teenagers - on the cusp of parting ways to go to college, the workplace, to see the world etc...playing together, outside, for the last time, while this song plays in the background. As the song ends the closing shot is the group of friends walking away together, arms around one another's shoulders while two or three of them are play-fighting while walking

I don't like gays people because it is an optional kind of living...Only males and female...as GOD and science shows, but GOD....i saw the final of this film and my heart was broken,,,,crying for a 10 minutes, This people must suffer a lot...for not accept who really they are....To be Gay in not a illness, just a mental state.
This is just too beautiful a song and it's not that Bruce's isn't a good song, it is, but this is the one I want to listen to over and over and over. So that is why this is the better song. And I agree. It was the song that had the heart of the movie. And from my experience. It is the city of brotherly love. I tripped on a sidewalk once and a woman saw it happen and sat on the ground next to me to make sure I was alright. Will never forget that. I hope she reads this. Thank you so much young lady.
