It's such a shame the F-15C module in DCS is low-sim, meaning it doesn't have full functionality compared to the F-15E; and an equally-damned shame that the F-15E might lose support soon due to the whole situation with Razbam.
The stealth capabilities of the Raptor is a given, but also the engines. The J-20's WS-10 and 15 engines are still substandard in performance. Also, time before overhaul is really low. I can't see the J-20 in an extended theater of air combat not having issues with their engines.
I appreciate the skill in both, so I leave it all up to personal choice. As for me, I've always been a fan of the Viper and I love the paint scheme of The Thunderbirds. But I won't turn down a chance to see either. And if you don't mind mt saying, you look a lot like Jim Carry.
To think, this man is the last of his kind. AI has already surpassed the best pilots on earth in the simulator. It is only a matter of time before no one on earth can beat even the most basic AI pilot. That means this skill is gone, and the skill of controlling the AI as a form of strategy has emerged. That is sad. The fat gamers who didn't learn skills are being rewarded for their sedentary behavior with AI. They have the skills needed to control the future.
Hello! Great video and here's why! I dreamed of being a pilot, but, unfortunately, I didn’t become one. But the Flanker simulator appeared on my first Pentium 166 MHz. In 1997. I didn’t have a joystick, so I flew on the keyboard. I wonder if you can take off, circle and land the plane, at least with full tanks, without a joystick, using only the keyboard. Well, of course you can do this several times in a row. How many times can you land a plane without crashing it without a joystick? You are a real professional! pro! Your dogfight is not very different from what came out on my keyboard back in the day! What is the highest realistic setting you can do this at?
F-22 is old, flies/fights "ok" for an a/c whose requirements (ORD) were written in 1987 @ Langley when Big City Bob was the Commander. Currently (however) it's getting "long in the tooth", a bit of a maintenance hog and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.
If these were brand new f16 i take the f16 but being these are 1990s and early 2000s jets i think if its against the su30-su35 and possibly the su34 i give the sue the edge also i fully expect the Russian pilots to have much better training and experience in the air Ukrainians will take years before they will fully understand the f16 at best months
Did some field exercises on Eielson during Red Flag a few years back. Stayed in Alaska a few years after getting out of the Army. I miss driving along the runway watching F-35s take off! Sick flying man 👍🏼
Back in the late Jurassic, I saw the Blues and the Thunderbirds fly in the same airshow, one after another. Both teams were flying the F-4 and it was great stuff.
How effective are flares against an AIM9 type missile? I’ve thought about this. If the front of the missile had a camera that could send information back to the missiles CPU, AI could discern what’s a flare and what’s the target this ignoring the flares…
Just from looking at his gear, he's using the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. I would honestly recommend going with Winwing instead if you don't get bent over a barrel with shipping. They're more for combat flight enthusiasts since they sell models of different US air frames. Perfectly solid systems.
Yeah those S400, S300 and S200 already would have made burning hunk of metal and minced meat out of this F-16 & pilot. In real world combat zones those MiGs don't fly beyond anti air cover incl. AWACS and it's not like in those brown people nations that had stuff from the 70's at best or worse no airforce at all. Anyhow the Deutsche Luftwaffe MiG-29s won all their mock battles in close range and had only minor disadvantage in longer range. That's 1990's with 1980's planes, the upgraded versions like the Mig-29K should thus far more capable, in the right hands, i.e. not people trained for 6 months hardly capable of reading and understanding the language of the instrumentation, like with other airplanes.
Sounds like my F15 "EX-W(ife)".... "Take out the trash, take out the trash, wash the dog, wash the dog, wash the cars, wash the cars, pay the bills, pay the bills..." Afterwards, "RADAR FAILURE!"
So time to strongly consider this short life versus eternity. I hope you choose God. By the way we are a constitutional republic not a democracy. Very big difference.
I’m sure a stupid question but I’m good at that, so in real life any concern for engine intake of the trail of chaff and flares from a fod perspective? Ty I enjoy your channel!
