Wow!!! I was listening to the Bible and happened to get to the story of Jacob. I always want to know the significance of these historic events. And this is how I found this podcast. Glory be to God. He is a God who doesn't hide Himself. From before time existed, He knew what this world will be like. Ecclesiastes states that nothing is new under the sun. From what I've heard recently, Thutmose III was the Pharaoh of the Exodus. This comes from using the building of Solomon's Temple in 957 BC. In 1 Kings 6:1 it says, "And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord." So, 480 + 957 = 1437 BC. Thutmose III reined c. 1479-25 BC. Amenemhat was the 1st born of Thutmose III, but pre-deceased Thutmose III (the final plague upon Egypt, the death of all first born). Thus, Thutmose III's 2nd son, Amenhotep II, became Pharaoh upon the death of Thutmose in c. 1425 BC and dying in 1400 BC. Neither Thutmose nor Amenhotep were drowned in the Red Sea, as stated in the Bible.

Indeed, I have long believed that Ur of the Chaldees is present day Sanlurfa, northwest of Haran in S. Turkey. This is because the Chaldeans are an ancient people from that region and migrated to S. Mesopotamia circa 900b.c., which is about 1000yrs after Abram lived. This is all near the mountain of Ararat. So, perhaps the Ancient Chaldeans were the recipient of knowledge from Noah; and this knowledge was provided to Abram in Northern Mesopotamia?
