I once received a tape cassette for Christmas called ' Bach's Greatest Hits ' and this version of ' A Mighty Fortress ' was the penultimate track, and recall being absolutely transfixed by the beauty of this piece , it has taken a while to source it so thank you very much for enabling me to hear it again after so many years .

Why on earth is there no mention of Randy Newman and his two Oscar noms for score and title song? Why this crap can Ed music and not the original music. Also, the location coordinator was Reggie Life, not the guy interviewed here. Shame!
I was about 10 or 11 when this film was released. I found it so affecting at that time, that I haven’t been able to,watch it since. I am now 53. I was so sensitive to injustice of any kind as a child. I still am. It is a masterpiece. I don’t know if we will ever see films like this be made again. We have so little innocence remaining, and too much cowardice.
I can hear the influence of Gospel music from his church days. Father was a minister. Applaud the music genius and talent if dear Earl, whom I had the pleasure of knowing, and who would dedicate "At the End of the Rainbow" to me when I was in audience. Forever a treasured memory ❤️
