The trousers are stunning! 😍😍 I’m loving sewing bee and this vlog as solidified the fact that I need to get my machine back out and just give it a go 😬
I loved this video!! it’s so fun to see you trying different types of crafts/art, it reminds me of when you did the DIY lino cutting/printing (feel like that was yeaaars ago!) ☺️ if you need more sewing inspiration my sister-in-law has an etsy store where she sells digital downloads for pattern designs called “KatieSewss” some of her jumpsuits would be amazing for you, especially if you love the baggy trousers! and also has RU-vid and tiktok tutorials under “ Katie.Sews” ☺️🩷
Good Job! Looks good. You can take some copy/printer paper and add it to the top of the pattern, then cut it to add how much you want to add so next time you will have the extra fabric that you need for the waist. 🙂
The trousers are fab!!! If you don't have enough of the fabric left for a top, you could make a hair scrunchie or hair scalf type thing to match ☺️ would love to see more sewing content x
You looked confident AND comfortable in the last one. It also looked gorgeous and flattering which doesn’t hurt haha Whichever YOU felt confident and comfortable in is the winner though.
Also, I really liked the first one but not for a wedding. The weird arm band thing threw me off too. Is it possible to alter/remove just that part? I think then the cut and color would both be flattering. I don’t know what the back looks like to see if it’s possible but if it is you might be able to have another dress you like for another occasion. Tip for everyone….Sometimes a seamstress can work magic on a dress to customize it for your body for an affordable price too. Always check your local area for a seamstress and see what they can do before you give up on a piece.
I just saw a really nice wedding guest dress made by Emily Louise Rajch, she’s a fellow RU-vidr with a small business and she had a launch a few days ago. If I had somewhere formal to go I’d get her dress! It’s made with midsize in mind and has a back strap to cover the bra band while still having an open back. I think the brand name is ELR, but if you just search her name on RU-vid you’ll find her launch video (something about hiding your tummy this summer, I think) and you can see if you like the dress easily.
If you feel like your top is too long but don’t want to tuck it into your trousers/bottoms try tucking it under your bra slightly. It makes it into a crop top and makes it really flattering
the flower you showed the roots of looks suspiciously like a teeny tiny carrot?! the red tie dye style dress looked lovely but its whatever you feel comfortable in!
I have a chihuahua mixed with a dachshund and they call them chiweenies. I absolutely hate that name though so I just say both breeds. I think both are also in the top 5 for stubbornness and it sure shows haha. I think my pup is more dachshund bc he does the meerkat pose all the time and doesn’t really have chihuahua traits I can think of. I love the names you chose too.
