One kart has a newer style rotax senior called EVO (the one with the red cylinder head). The other one has a previous version from like before 2016, which isn't painted. The EVO gives more power, that's why it's 6 tenths faster.
Qualifying position matters. If you start in the back, you stay in the back. Plus, you drive like you work out.(not much I see) . How much time you actually spend at the track working. Not just hanging making youtube (look at me ) vids.....
Yahoo Hailie! Good distinction, "racing karts" they are. The power valve on your RSM will be tuned per track. Prolly the difference in time plus weight. Like the sticker on the brand new tires say, "for race circuits only". No street videos. Cheers

In my experience, serious go kart racing from a young age is why European drivers are so much better at road racing than Americans. They take carting seriously and most F-1 drivers are former kart champions.
Kart with the red head is a Rotax EVO motor, kart with the silver head is a Rotax Max. EVO's have better ignition, carby, and barrel. That is why you are feeling the power valve open earlier, plus they have a bit more poke anyway.
