An under appreciated detail but very cool is how the hands are life sized! It adds a lot of life, especially considering the smash bros. Characters are just a toys on a desk.
@@vondahl972 Hey thanks! The clay is epoxy clay and transparent polymer clay for the torso, paint is acrylic paint and then I added LED light components, thanks for watching!
Quite amazing. Im also happy to see you made the Ocarina of Time version of the Master Sword. That has always been my favorite version of the Blade of Evil's Bane. You are pretty talented. Looking forward to seeing what you make next. 😊
I am SHOCKED that your channel only has 6.1k subscribers! Let me add one more. I just know you're gonna have lots more some day! This is incredible work!!
Wow, that was AMAZING!! I always get so pumped for your new videos, and seeing a creation from Twilight Princess is especially exciting. The camera work, setup, lighting, and of course the sculpt itself are all fantastic, and seriously can't imagine how many hours went into planning, gathering materials, constructing the design, and editing the footage all together. It's amazing how well thought-out each design is, and I admire that you always have a clear plan from the start. For instance, making the central point on the beast's face plate become the power button and making sure to leave space for a charger port shows superb forethought - easy access for both power and charging, and in places that don't distract from the look of it! The way you set up the lighting panel is really solid, and the use of semi-translucent material for the casing (which becomes the creature's chest and back) is brilliant, helping the light to shine through later on, and in just the right amount. And wow, talk about skills! Your use of various tools to cut, shape, mold, and solder the pieces really showcases your versatility as an artist! I really can't emphasize enough how much of a difference your use of LED lighting makes in your last several designs, and I hope it's an element you continue to integrate in future projects! I'm always astounded at how you're able to craft such perfect recreations of the original characters, in terms of shape, proportion, contouring, color, and just about every other aspect. For instance, the legs, arms, and fingers all look extremely precise, and the protruding ribs on the side are a brilliant detail - you really understand character anatomy well! You make it look easy, too, with how condensed and snappy the footage is, but I'm sure there's a ton of delicate, focused work that goes into pressing and smoothing out the clay to get those shapes. And the way you drew on the body designs and later went over them with marker really shows confidence in your linework, as well as knowledge of how different materials layer and interact with each other. My favorite part to watch was when you etched away the outer layer to let the lights shine through - that was so satisfying to watch, and it reminded me of those sheets that are coated in black wax that you scrape away to reveal a vibrant, multicolor pattern underneath... I used to love doing those. :D And man, the fact that you do this all on camera just makes it all the more impressive. I'm sure it'd be much easier and quicker to do each step in a space where your movement isn't restricted, or where you don't have to worry about positioning the materials in the frame, but the fact that you show so much of the process to let viewers in on it really makes a difference! And the video editing, too! I can't even begin to guess how many different cuts are used in the video, but it must have been a real labor of love, compiling and sorting through all the footage and synthesizing it into a well-paced video. For instance, when you showed all of the tendrils appearing one after another at 7:19, it's just a one-second detail, but that single second equates to minutes of editing, I would wager. Your videos are seriously high-effort, and I love that you always focus on creating a polished production that will entertain people for years to come - your channel exemplifies the importance of quality over sheer quantity! Once again, stellar work, my friend. Thanks for sharing this top-tier video! 💛
Equalyze!!! Thanks for always leaving such insightful and thorough comments detailing your response to my work! It's a pleasure to read and I always look forward to it! Yeah there's definitely a lot of planning when it comes to these projects, especially if they have LED integrated features like you said cause then I have to add those components to the design. But yes the button being the central round part of the face plate was my idea from the start cause yeah exactly, I wanted to make it so it was not distracting and played into the actual design of the character. The transparent chest on the other hand was not my first idea. I went through 2 iterations of the sculpture before realizing how to go about it properly haha. Originally I made it from the same epoxy clay and cut lines into it but it wasn't working out so I changed it to the transparent clay as the entire thing being illuminated, then realized I could just paint it entirely to block out the light and then uncover the areas I wanted to shine through. But thank you man, I definitely am going to continue the integration of LEDs with my work! I really appreciate hearing that! I really strive to make my sculpts as close as they can be to the source material, so It always means a lot when I hear that it is! And thats my favorite part of the video too, so I'm glad you liked it! And you're totally right that does remind me too of those things! Man I haven't seen those in forever you just unlocked a memory haha! Thank you thank you! Yeah it's a struggle sometimes lol, but you gotta get it in frame! Lol 😂 I appreciate you noticing the editing though, cause yeah it takes a while to sort through everything as there's hundreds of hours of footage at the end of a project. But I'm happy to hear you think it's snappy and engaging! But yeah that's kind of my motto of quality over quantity haha (I mean it better be seeing that I upload once every 7 years). Thank YOU! Thanks for watching and always being so supportive, it means a lot! Looking forward to your next remix!!!
Yes!!!! Twilight princess!!! Best Zelda game ever! Your sculpture looks amazing and so accurate to the game. It’s like you plucked it right out of the twilight realm. Amazing as always. I hope that you can make a sculpture from Okami next. Twilight princess and Okami are my two favorite games.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Oooooo a sculpture from Okami you say?? That might be cool, thanks for the input! But yeah I love Twilight princess haha, it's so good!
@@sculptednostalgia You are so welcome! I love your sculptures! I wish I had that talent. Twilight princess is amazing! Coincidentally I have been thinking of a potential crossover with that game for weeks. Also any sculpture you make next will be awesome, I just wanted to mention Okami since it was my top favorite along with Twilight princess (I am totally not being biased since wolves are my favorite animal *glances at my wonky top heavy handmade wolf Link sculpture*), and they are kinda natural opposites.
Thank you! Well I appreciate the suggestion, and I do remember liking Okami a lot. Hahaha hey no judgement wolves are sick so I totally understand lol!
I love King Boo. He’s very, very, very, very, way to the extreme, adorable. And interesting at least. And he hasn’t made many appearances unlike the Mario King Boo.
This is incredible! I love how detailed and accurate to the game your sculptures are. I’m definitely in the same camp with my favorites being the oddball characters. If only they’d make official figures like this!
Thank you so much for the kind comment it means a lot! I strive to make my sculptures as accurate as possible to the source material, so I always appreciate when I get validating feedback like this! But yeah I agree, I just think they deserve a little recognition haha 😁 Plus I like the idea of making a sculpture of a character or thing that doesn’t exist outside the game. That’s way more fun and interesting to me than the latter. But thanks again for the nice feedback and thanks for watching!
