I also placed my bracket on the outside of the strut as i didnt want to remove my sissy bar mounts. So i feel placing it on the outside of the strut helped it align a bit. I was wondering if you'd noticed any downside? I imagine the bolt alone is strong enough to hold up these bags without assistance from the struts?
Great stuff from Crossthread Cycle. Been using them on my bagger for 2 years now. New ones came in for the FXLRST and will have them installed tomorrow
At 6'3" 230 lbs, I look like a circus bear on a mini-bike when I sit on a Sportster (or anything smaller). I don't have experience on a larger bike (especially over 1,200cc), but the Street Bob is very stable and easy to ride. That's why I want a Dyna, with the strategy of getting lots of parking lot practice sessions and then easy going cruising on the back roads with a group. A 2015 costs around $7,500, with hard bags, 2-up backrest, and a windscreen. Ready to ride.

I upgraded from a 2021 Iron 1200 to a 2024 FXBB StreetBob 114. Disregarding the difference in torque, the first 5 gears are (to me) exactly the same RPM & MPH as the Iron 1200, but then...... there's that 6th gear the Iron 1200 lacks and (to me) that separates the two bikes from a great commuter to a great commuter/cruiser.
@@lifeofjustinjamestell me about it. I lived in KCK for a few years. That snow and cold was brutal. Now I live in NoVA and the snow is hit and miss. The cold can be brutal some days as well.
So much local stuff is way too expensive, especially all the touristy stuff. We have annual passes to Disney, and it still costs a ton of money to go for a few hours.
I bet! That’s why I haven’t done Disney yet haha. Local stuff can be pricey, but every now and then, can feel good to support local. Appreciate you watching
Disney is expensive (so is Universal). We go for the kids, I go for the food (Epcot). Locally though, we frequent Plant St in Winter Garden, which is great, and reasonable (honestly I think I only found out about it via a Blockhead video years ago). As well as the Sunday Farmer's Market at Lake Eola. We also try to hit any food truck event in the area. There are tons of local things to do that I try to get friends and family visiting to do. The 'tourist' stuff though seems to hurt more. I cant get a 6 pack of Funky Budda at Publix (which is overpriced) for the same price as a single drink at Disney/Universal.
