This channel is about 'raw-take' videos, originals, classic rock, gospel, instrumentals, explorational-improvisations on guitars, woodwinds and percussion. 'Piano' is considered a 'percussion-instrument'. I include it as such. I took 'class-piano-one' at Montgomery College because it was required for 'music-theory' students. I continue doing the 'raw-camera' thing and the 'music' for my channel, but now I have a partner who knows 'computer-enhancement' and the 'effects' you can use to make videos nowadays. It is the '21st century' after all. - My 'tech' for that is 'J. Knowles', who can repair computers, and 'personalize' them for your use. RaWoodshed still does the 'raw-camera' work and the 'music'.
Glad you enjoyed the woodwinds! And that includes the 'harmonicas' too! They're made of wood & brass and have 'reeds' like the sax, 10 inhale, & 10 exhale. 'Blues-Harps', are my favorite type of harmonicas. God Bless you always! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed
@@samditto Thanks for your comment! That makes it all worthwhile! - I've lived 74-years, so I have traveled a bit and always had other musicians to encourage me, and join in on projects like the duos & trios I've played in. - The soprano-sax I used was a 'Holton', in the key of 'C'. 'Arturo Creamer' was the 'drummer' on this little 'jam'. He was part of the 'Caoba' latin-jazz band. A great drummer! - Ned Burgos - guitars/woodwinds - - RaWoodshed & RU-vid - God Bless you always!
I was trying to write this little thing about being '74' and having friends helping me with the theory and tricks that some instruments have to play them. My dad & mom both played guitar and sang gospel music in Spanish. The soprano sax is a neat little instrument, which I use in jazz. Thanks for your comment. God Bless You always! - Ned Burgos -
Thanks for your comment! A little slide on 'Miss Jackson'. A '3/4 size' junior guitar from my grandson, 'Asaya'. What he wanted was a 'Luna' acoustic guitar, so I got him one, plus gave him $60.00 for the little '3/4 size' Jackson. Thanks so much for your appreciation! God Bless you always!!
Squash just needs some 'overalls' to hide his nakedness. The 'straw-hat' was good start!! Thanks for your comment! God Bless you always! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed and RU-vid
@@84kjk Alesis - Beat Buddy - Rhythm-Partner - Korg mini - and I've used the Yamaha 'rack' type. Also, the DR-3 by Boss, with bass. Thanks so much for your comment! - It makes it all worth-while for me! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - - RU-vid -
I don't use a 'looper', - I just 'set-up' my rythm machines with the 'beats' I'm going to 'use', & put them in the 'order' they'll be used in the 'song'. I have used up to 'four' rythm-changes in my jams that are improvised. - However, my 'songs' have a a definite 'structure', and the 'arrangements' are 'fixed', but the 'solos' are always 'improvised'. - Thanks for the 'wonderful' words in your comments! - God Bless you always in the things you like doing!! - Ned Burgos -
My favorites are the 'Beat-Buddy', 'Alesis', and the 'Boss-DR 01s', (known as the 'rythm' - 'partner'). - I think that 'Yamaha' makes exellent 'Rythm-machines', - but they stopped making the one that I loved the most!! - Ned Burgos -
@@jeksec3630 Thanks for your wonderful comment! I wish you the best for your life, and you deserve all God can give you!! - Thanks for being part of RaWoodshed!! You definitely can do the 'tech' thing well! (lone wo
Thanks so much for your comment our video 'It Takes Time'. - 'Knowles' put-in a lot of effort to bring out the best in my 'raw-camera' footage, & a 'rocker-jam' of his 'choice'. from my collection of 'guitar-jams'. Thanks again for your comment! - - - Ned Burgos - - RaWoodshed - RU-vid - - Thanks to Mr J. Knowles -
This rendition was recorded in 'Mont Vernon' N.H. The one with 'Renzo' on drums is the 'Brainstem' version, recorded in 'Florida'. This is the 'lone-wolf' version.
It looks like some being is warning is with a vwhole bunch of caution lights flickering off leaves, cars , rocks and buildings... warning us of a FUTURE WAR :) .....a fire in the sky if you will. - Stand by -
Just got one of these for christmas. Cool little guitar. My first thought when I seen it was that the little knob on the headstock had to go. Funny seeing you did that too lol
Yep! And 'go' it went! It's a little 'custom-shop' guitar now! 'Twin-rail' pickups and all! - I'll be doing another video about the 'mods' you can install on these types of guitars. Thanks so much for your comment on the 'Travelcaster', and the crazy 'headstock' it comes with! At a 'Custom Shop' we think of these things, and figure out the best way to fix the problem. - God Bless you & Keep you safe and healthy always! Have a great New Year! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - RU-vid -
Thanks for your wonderful comment! 18 years of 'shredding', and still has the original 'frets!' Ernie Ball makes some 'sturdy' guitars! I purchased 'Melisa' in 2005 at Guitar Center of 'Orlando'. She had the price of $199 'new!' She was born in China, designed by Ernie Ball In USA. My most played upon guitar! Named after a good friend's wife who 'both' helped me settle into my first trailer in South Western Rural Pennsylvania, in a small town named 'Clyde' Pa. My friends called it the 'Ranch'. (35 miles north of West Virginia, and 80 miles east of 'Pittsburgh'.) May God Bless you and keep you safe and successful!! - Ned Burgos - - RaWoodshed & RU-vid -
Thanks for your comment! My early bands were 'Blues-Rock' based, like the 'Squeeze-Band' ('72-'80), later changed our name to 'Beyond Help' because of a British-group that used the 'word' 'Squeeze' in their band-name. We. couldn't afford the 'legalities'. - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - - & RU-vid -
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment on 'Melisa' with her cheap 'ceramic' pickups. 'Melisa' has had 'bad-luck' with the expensive pickups going 'microphonic' (bridge), and the neck-pickups going 'inert', no voltage to the amp. I couldn't afford the 'Keisel' and 'Carvin' pickups anymore! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - RU-vid -
Thanks so much for your compliment! More than just a 'comment'. I'm glad you like 'Towel-Head!' One of my first 'singer-dancers'. His best friend is 'Fuzz-Face', another regular 'clown'. God Bless you and keep you healthy and prosperous! - Ned Burgos- - RaWoodshed- RU-vid -
Thanks so much for your compliments!! Did 'Rockin' in the 'Free World' as the lone-wolf solo-act in studio-jams. Good song by Niel Young! May God Bless you and keep you safe and prosperous! - Ned Burgos- RaWoodshed and RU-vid.
One of two recordings where the 'Taylor' guitar ('Miss Taylor'), actually got the 'overdrive-pedal' to work for her without the 'moaning and groaning' Miss Taylor normally does. 'Lunita' has always been my choice for 'acoustic'- overdriven tones. Check out 'Miss Taylor' & the 'Bosai-Test' (too cute). 'Miss Taylor' fails miserably on the 'Bonsai-test!' God Bless You & keep you safe & prosperous! (Ned Burgos).
Yeah, it really puts a 'slant' on 'tonality!' Especially your 'improvisational' skills!! You'll be hitting all kinds of 'scales' on your way out to end your 'phrase!' But, that's where the 'fun' is! - I like the way your 'ear' gets 'challenged', to find the resolution to where you ended up!! Say hi to your dad for me! He's the kind of 'bassist' that likes to 'arrange' his 'bass-lines' to the music he's playing with the other musicians in the band. God Bless you both! - Ned Burgos - - Rawoodshed - RU-vid -
@@nedburgos yeah he was religious in arrangements..my dad went out to the bakery and never came back ..that was 28 years ago ive tried keeping his legacy by being the best musician and human as i can
@@jonathanrubino2577 Amen, brother! The 'creative' part of music, is my favorite aspect in being a great musician. - 'Jaco Pastorious' is a great example. - Fender put 'frets' on the 'jazz-bass', and 'Jaco' pulled them all out to play 'fretless!' Monster bass Player!! (Ned)
@@nedburgos yep ..i had converted my dad's bass into a fretless ..and i got a fretless classical guitar at home i use to fiddle around with ..awsome instrument
Pat was a good 'guitar-student'. Learned quickly, and used his 'creativity' well on his 'solos!' - He's playing his guitar through a 'wah' pedal, and I never use a wah, so his 'solos' are easily 'identifiable' on 'It's All Behind Me'. We both worked at 'Amigos' Tex-Mex Restaurant, which went 'out-of-business' when the 'Twin Towers' fell. (I just did the 'bus-boy' thing, and played in a 'duo' in the back 'patio' there. He used a 'Peavey' guitar with a 'vibrato' system. I was playing my first 'basswood-body' guitar: the Peavey 'Firenza' 3-pickup model, with a Carvin 'Allen Holdsworth' Humbucker & two 'single' coils. I had moved from both Maryland and Pennsylvania to be 'homeless' in Orlando, where I met 'Renzo Danos' and 'Pat'. We all loved to 'jam!' 'Brainstem' was starting to get it together!! Pat also knew me in the band 'Thread' with 'Ted' on drums, & 'Ned' on guitar, vocals, & woodwinds. God Bless You and all your real friends!!! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed and - RU-vid -
Wow, your dad must know me! - 'Omega' studios in 'Rockville', Maryland. - That's where we recorded all of that album! - God Bless You!! - Ned Burgos - - RaWoodshed - RU-vid -
I don't 'busk' alone, but I do 'jam' out 'in-the-streets' with friends of mine who invite me to play with them. It's a lot of fun! I enjoy the 'duos' and 'trios' that come out of it also. God Bless You and keep you safe & prosperous! - - Ned Burgos - @Rawoodshed & RU-vid -
Yes, I did on 'guitars', & 'soprano sax'. Thanks for your comment! That was at 'Omega' studios, in Rockville, MD. On the main 'theme', I did the 'guitar-solo' on my 'Ovation' 'acoustic' guitar. - That's what they wanted. - 'InProgress' was recorded on a 'Sony' $33,000 board, with 24 channels, plus 2 channels for the 'stereo' mix down. - It was totally 'digital'. The first' of its kind I had ever seen! - The 'Ovation' sounded phenominal!! God Bless you in all of your endeavors, and friendships! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - and You Tube.
Thanks for watching!! Sometimes I 'rant' on some topics like the 'landlord' wants to be 'Lord of all', you know the 'Horned-One'. He has tried to 'become' God over and over again. A 'becomingness' is all he is. The Great 'I Am' has always held that 'post'. And Always will. The 'Creator' is greater than the 'created'. - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed- and RU-vid.

Put 'Mother-Nature' out of business! Sounds like 'science' in competition with God Almighty!! - Very cool, man! Thank you so much for reaching out and liking my little 'weather-reports!' - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - RU-vid - Florida Videos.
Quite a 'difference' from 'Florida' to 'California'. I've lived in both 'L.A.' & 'Orlando'. The east coast is prone to hurricanes and tropical storms. - The 'heat-lightning' is my favorite! Got no 'thunder' to the 'lightning!' That silent 'lightning' is quite beautiful. Well, God Bless the 'west-coast' too! - Thanks for your 'comment' on my little 'weather-reports!' I guess they like rain! - My gosh! I've had enough! - But you'll never Freeze to to death! - God Bless you Always! Thanks for liking RaWoodshed!! - Ned Burgos - @Rawoodshed.com -
Thanks so much for your comment! - The 'Steinberger' is a 'graphite' guitar. No wood Is used. A 'Rockman' rack-unit is used for a 'pre-amp', and a fender 'Princeton' amp is used as a power amp, with 12inch speaker. 'Beyond-Help' is the 'Squeeze-Band' after our 'name-change' because of 'Squeeze' from 'England'. We couldn't fight them for the copyright on that name, so we just changed our name to 'Beyond-Help!' God Bless, and keep you safe and Prosperous! - Ned Burgos @Rawoodshed.com or RaWoodshed on RU-vid.

Thanks for your comment! - 'Lunita' has a 'jazz-rock' action, easy to play for an 'acoustic' guitar. I've got the 'action' set the same way for all my guitars! 'Jenifer' and 'Lunita' are my 'vibratoless' babies. (so is 'Baby-Cakes', but she's a 'bass-guitar'). - God Bless you and your friends & family!! Hey, John! - Many thanks for your 'tech' support!! I decided to do a 'too-cute' version, of the one you saw me working on last month; 'Come On, Beat-Buddy!' - Ned Burgos @RaWoodshed.com
Thanks for your comment on my 'silver-sax!' - Same key as the 'flute'. My 'Slade' soprano-sax is in 'B-flat' I play 'Melody', a bit more than the 'Slade' because our 'Praise-Team' has a female 'lead-singer', and she prefers the 'tenor-type' sound of it. Someday I'll find a song for the 'soprano' in our church, but for now I'll stick to the 'Jazz' stuff that I like to play. God Bless you and keep you safe and prosperous! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed - RU-vid -

Thanks for your comment on the 'Silver-Sax!' Built at the turn of the last 'century', she's a '20th' 'century-fox', 'Melody' is her name. (Born Dec. 8th, 1914 in 'Elkhart, Indiana', USA). God Bless You!! - Ned Burgos - RaWoodshed.com - RU-vid -

Maybe 'artistic', but definitely 'acoustic'. - 'Miss Taylor' has been given to my pastor's 'wife'. Her 'Carvin' guitar fell, and got busted-up on this hard floor. I felt sad for her, 'Carvin' is not cheap! But she loved the 'action' on the 'Taylor', so I gave it to her! - 'Got my 'Luna-acoustic'. God Bless you and keep you well and prosperous! - Ned Burgos -
Thanks for your comment on 'Lunita De Mi Corazon'. - She's a 'custom-shop' acoustic guitar that I had to rescue from a spill of 'polyurethane'. Her 'finish' is a 'non-reflective' Spray-coat used on 'paintings'. - She also has a 'GraphTech' nut (black-tusk), and a 'bridge-saddle' & 'bridge-pins' of 'man-made' 'ivory', all by 'GraphTech'. - She's as 'custom-shop' as you get with an 'acoustic!' Her strings are Ernie Ball 'Earthwood' extra- light guage. She has a great 'pre-amp' with graphic 'EQ' & 'notching' filter' to help with feedback problems. God Bless you and all who are your friends! - Ned Burgos - - Rawoodshed.com
I do enjoy using 'effects' on woodwinds & guitars, but you still have to develop 'tone'.. God Bless and help you in your life! - Ned Burgos- RaWoodshed.com -

It's in the New Testament. - My pastor knows more about it than I, - I'm just in the 'Praise-Team'. - (guitars, woodwinds, & vocals). - I can find out from Pastor Felix DelMonte of the Seven Church, he would know exactly. - Thanks again for your Comment! - Ned Burgos -
You could find it in 'Luke', - chapter - 19, Verse - 20. Jesus was teaching daily in the Temple. - But the 'chief'-priests', the 'Scribes', and the 'leaders' of the people sought to destroy Him. - Thanks for asking about this! - Ned Burgos @RaWoodshed.com - God Bless!
Thanks! - Melisa's 'Four-Core' bridge-pickup has really helped with the 'chirping' I like to do, and getting 'harmonics' to really ring. The rauchyness is really in the neck pickup, which I attempted to rewire in 'parallel', but one coil is more 'active' than the other. It still 'chirps' well, so I don't really mind. Thanks so much for your comment! Melisa's pickups are finally all 'alnico'. She survived one year with those darn 'ceramic' pickups! - Ernie Ball has made Some wonderful guitars! - It helps that she's 'chambered' - She can do some serious 'chiming! - God Bless you, and help you always! - Ned Burgos @Rawoodshed.com
