No thanks. Factory amp wont work need an extra 100$ decoder which does not allow fading and no surround sound only left and right. Factory sound way better quality,not worth it
The lack of fading is because of my amp, not the radio. If I had the factory amp, I would have all complete control over fading and have full surround sound. This unit sounds lightyears better than the stock radio and the alpine unit I removed.
I'm about to fix my ac in my car as my condenser also got damaged and i heard letting refrigerant out into atmosphere is horrible so i ended up here to do it the proper way. I also learned you gotta make sure theres no moisture in the system... And after my research i figured this isnt a hard extra step at all... but then i checked the cost of the recovery machine and the tank.. i think ill find an alternate method of evacuating the system without releasing into atmosphere..

Hey, great meeting your yesterday! I haven't had any experience with Fortin but it looks pretty nice. I've really only installed remote start systems from Bimmertech for BMW's. those all required you to open up and repin the FEM which is always fun. lol I wish i could be more help with the Audi, but i haven't had any experience with them yet.

Glad to help! It depends on how you fill it. If you use straight 134a, then yes, you'll need to add some oil. If you use the AC recharge cans like ACPRO, then no, because it has everything already in it.
would you recommend this unit over the e90a12s? the e90a12s seems to have a better on board processor and a nicer screen. I saw ur review on that unit that you posted about 6 months ago but now im not sure which one to go with. any insight and opinions would be much appreciated, thanks.
Great question! That's a really difficult question to answer. The E90A12S does have higher specs in terms of cpu, ram and storage as it's Eonon's flagship unit. The E90A13 is Eonon's all new budget friendly radio, runs native Android 13 and has a totally new interface. I gotta say, I love love love the new climate control feature. You can upgrade the E90A12S to Android 13 and add OTA updates however it still won't have the interface of the E90A13. It's really tough though since they're both great units. It really comes down to your budget and what features are important to you. 👍

@@fthirty3so I got my e90a13 yesterday, and started the install process. I knew my car had the 8 speaker wires so I assumed it would not need the optical decoder box as well. Turns out my car has BOTH the 8 speaker wires and the optical cable. I reached out to eonon as it’s not listed anywhere on the listing for the radio but they haven’t reached back out yet, so I figured I’d try here as well. I’m assuming I’ll need to order the optical decoder as well now since my car has both?

This video has over 300k views including you which tells me that there are people that would like to know how to do it. There are many people that work as shade tree mechanics fixing cars for their family, friends, and neighbors. Having the equipment and knowledge empowers them to fix things themselves and help others that may need the same work done and not pay dealer prices. Sometimes you have to think outside of your small bubble and that there are people that may have a different situation or need than you. Hello my friend! interested in the exact same change on my 428i. it has a connectedDrive radar on the front bumper just like yours in the video. wondering what exactly bumpers should i order? M sport? only the grilles change? what grills will i need? I would greatly appreciate your help! thanks!
The grills for the fog lights and normal center grill should all come with the bumper. If you have the radar in the front, you'll need to pick up that specific grill for the msport separately from fcp euro. I already had a msport from the factory and my grill wasn't damaged so I reused it.

I’m glad I found your video before doing this. Why a recovery machine? Doesn’t the vacuum pump do the same thing? I’ll buy one if I need to, but I don’t see how it is different.
@@fthirty3 If you ever get bored, let me know if the USB works for car play\external USB. Only reason I ask is I dont mind using car play but my wife takes the e93 on occasion and i don't know that it can handle multiple wireless car play devices?
@@drewprzybycien5784 It handles multiple Bluetooth devices very well. basically, you just pick one of them to be the primary. that way if 2 or more are in the car at the same time, it will choose the primary device over the others. 💪
@@fthirty3 One more for you - Did you wire the backup camera to the backup light? Or did you just send power down the Wire from the radio to the camera? I wasnt sure if the CANBUS tells the radio that the car is in reverse or if you have to have voltage sent to it from the reverse lights.

***IMPORTANT***: Be sure to conduct the OFHG dry start/priming process to purge the oil system of ALL air. Otherwise you risk your rod bearings scorching and destroying your entire engine! This can happen on any BMW motor. You can run the OFHG priming procedure in two ways. #1: Via BMW ISTA or a bidirectional scan tool. This is the BMW recommended method and there is an option specifically for this. #2: You can pull the wires from 4-5 of your coils and then try to crank the car for 10 seconds. Do this 3 times. It will imitate the BMW ISTA/Scan Tool function at its core by squirting oil through the galleys to purge air. Other than that, great video man!

Ok i decided to set the record straight for everyone who is not 100% sure wth they are doing in the first place and let you know whats toxic and whats very very low toxicity. R134a my friends is a very low toxicity refrigerent and yes they prolly use in air cans because its not really toxic at all. But you should still try and recover rather than release! Now lets say R410a this is some nasty stuff for general idea 2 pounds of R410a is like running your car for 6 straight months 24 hrs a day and releasing 2 tons of carbon dioxide into the greenhouse. So its best to do a little research to find out how toxic your refrigerent is before working on any system. With that said its always proper to recover than release!! Great vid! Im having trouble with the clock/Time setting. It resets to default every time i turn the car off, and never updates to the network time or GPs time. am i missing something in settings? it then resets the car clock too. very annoying!
