During the course of three months in 2020, I dedicated my time to filming the daily practices and games of the Brooklyn Titans, a youth football and cheerleader organization located in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in Brooklyn. This community predominantly consists of African Americans.
In Brooklyn Titans Docu-Series, each episode is a single-day event, capturing the Titans during a game or practice. It recounts a season of Titans' hard work, sportsmanship, discipline, and growth. As a filmmaker, I witnessed their strong sense of community, supporting each other to thrive. Rather than restricting access to film festivals, I opted to make them freely available for the Titans community to watch and enjoy.
