We are talking about Architecture patterns here. Ideally these patterns will help to obtain solution for your architecture problem. Unless it is used for any business solution, it is just called architecture patterns. If you use any of the cloud architecture patterns to provide solution, that is called cloud solution architecture… not patterns.
We can use AWS Outposts(on-prem) which will connnect to AWS Services through Direct Link and can sustain in Hybrid Model for 3 weeks. During this time database can be dumped to AWS . And application can be designed for cloud-enabled after which this hybrid model can be fully be turned to cloud application.
Hello Amit, Though you are front end lead, the level of experience you have with the development matters. You would be implementing the patterns, architecture styles in front end app development. You must focus on application solutions architect. All the best!
Greetings my humble powerful instructor and teacher. This piece was very very helpful in re.-enforcing my line of thoughts but I need your help. I still struggle with taking Non Functional client requirements and convert into Functional design why I am not sure when to be detailed or not for example one can look at an architecture design and not understand it but for technical folks it is easy. Is there some kind of training to learning how to be very good in turning nonfunctional requirements into functional AWS design? Thanks in advance
Hello Arthuri, Thanks for your kind words. Functional requirements and Non-functional requirements are two different areas but are connected. Usually as applications solution architect you gather the functional requirements from the business team. As a solution architect you must gather all non-functional requirements like how the application can scale at high volume, what platform can be adopted for the same, what types of infrastructure components needed etc. In big organizations/ enterprises there will be dedicated platform and infrastructure solutions architects who work with applications solutions architects to address these NFRs. Get hands-on with scripting tools like Ansible, Terrraform etc. if your are setting up an infrastructure for any LLM, it is still similar to an environment setup for any of your apps / platform components but only the difference is high in configurations.
Good view and really valuable insights. I have not really seen this happening in reality that there is on-prem DB with Cloud app will run into issues with latency.
Good point but some organizations are data centric and would like to manage the data by their own. Such organizations can still pick a region closer to their on-prem DC and lower the latency as well as keep the data on their on-prem DCs. Another option is “dedicated cloud”

It depends what level of learning are they expecting. You understand how the model works, what are the basic generative ai tasks like RAG, Summarization, Q&A etc. if you have Python language skill, explore to create models / algorithms. You can pick any basic Generative AI course from IBM learning. That will help.

It’s not only developer can become architect. If you are working as DevOps lead or systems admin, you can become platform/ infrastructure solution architect. It’s all dependent on what base experience you have. It’s not required to have TOGAF certification to become an architect, but a nice to have one.
