That drone follow feature is really cool. I've seen other RU-vidrs use that and it's real cool. That read vehicle was a Jeep, saw the airbags deployed, pretty obvious. I hope they survived.
Like the first time I drove on state 70 here in California man oh man when I got to my destination which was Quincy here in California man I was so car sick I was having withdrawals from so much winding roads going up up and up all those snake curves no rails to keep you from falling down to the embankment or the river I was so sick 😂 but after driving through there many times it got easier on me then I was that one girl driving faster rather than going heck of slow with traffic behind me 😂. Enjoyed your video.
Hi Jessie: I was a helicopter pilot in Arizona in the 1980's. I flew through many of these areas and spotted a lot of undisturbed Native American habitations. I am very thankful for your outstanding videos!
Hey thanks a million! I plan on doing more of these "desert exploration" videos via drone in the upcoming future, now that the extreme heat is tapering off here in AZ i can actually hike and mountain bike to them.....thanks for sharing your story and also for checking out the video 👍
People in general have absolutely no respect for Mother Earth. I’m happy the Navajo Nation closed their scared lands off to tourists and all the garbage and disrespect that comes with tourism! 🦅💯🦅
Maybe that portion of the trail is smoother now but I can tell you why the high clearance sign is there and you shouldn’t encourage cars to go. The last time I drove this road in April of 2019 there were a few sedans driving it then also. Well a good hour from tortilla flat one of those sedans busted their oil pan on a rock and the car caught on fire. The car was still burning when I got there and the cops were turning all the cars around and sending us back to tortilla flat. Kind of annoying and luckily it didn’t start a wild fire. I still have the picture of the car burning on the trail.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was filed at this mall, the mall scene towards the end of the movie. A lot of memories going to this mall when I was a kid, especially before Arrowhead opened up, that was the real killer to Metro.
The Silverado Development was a favorite of ours. Making regular trips to Vegas from AZ we were curious bout it's growth and who would want to live way out there. On the way back from Vegas, after it was abandoned, I drove back to those homes, by myself, to check it out. Everything of value had been stripped from the homes and it was very creepy. Even though it was the middle of the day I didn't stay long at all. Cool to see it make your list.
There is a place near where i live that is absolutely gorgeous and me and my husband went out there to swim and chill but when we got there, there was trash everywhere. There was a sign that said that there is no trash pick up out there and to please take your trash with you, and around the base of the sign there was piles of garbage. I will never understand why people are like that.
From age 10 to age 13 i pulled a boat from aj to apache lake on the apache trail via fish creek hill, with a supervising adult ,it was a buetiful drive ,and allways a great camping trip in the summer months
Quick story regarding something I learned Abt Tarantulas on this road. I was at the bottom part of Fish Creek a yr or so bfor the rock slide, it was raining and there were Turantulas all over the road, my name friends and I had an empty cooler and scooped up four of them. By the time we got back to town thr was one Dominant one left, they aparently all fought to the death xcept the one.
Inwas last there around 2019 and now I live 1/2 mile from the trail lol , we moved here just after the slide and it seems like a real shame they took soo long to clear this rockslide
This one does not, HOWEVER! I've had a friend drive my car at about 25mph while I sit in the passengers sit and operate the drone remote and follow the car manually
2005 I was trying to get from Show low to Phoenix in a class A rv and wind up doing the apache trail by mistake I remember the movie RV it was very scary but no where to turn so we survived it..
4 mill price tag to open the trail? We got played! I've traveled the trail in the past never with 4x4 and find it crazy that after spending so much one needs it now.
Im just glad they didnt " Imporve " it ... Looks like they straightened up the old Guardrails and the Road is smoother ( for now ) but it looks like the fun old road still. Part of old Arizona
Is the tallest section 185 feet tall? The video shows multiple step waterfalls. If that's footage of the actual falls narrated about then claiming it's that tall is misleading. Each individual waterfall is it's own separate feature and should be measured accordingly. It's like saying the American falls and the Horseshoe falls at Niagara falls are all one waterfall.
I went over the edge and rolled 8 times in a Ford Courier with a roll bar back in About on Memorial Day1979. Where the driver was about to get airborne when I screamed. This stretch was leaving Canyon Lake. Where we finally went over it was smooth white rock paved from heaven. We both climbed to the road in one piece. Many cars stopped after seeing us go over The gun rack made my back bleed the Lord and the roll bar saved us. Still the Apache Trail.
Hey thank you so much!!! I appreciate that. I can't speak to the entire trail but from what I've been told, the entire trail is pretty smooth. I'll do you one better, back in April I started at Roosevelt dam and took the trail as far as I could go in my Hyundai accent. I drove until i got to the road closed signs, and back then it was pretty smooth, and I know they did some upgrades to it, so it wouldn't surprise if it's in better shape now. Even made a video on that drive if you want to check it. Long story short, from what I've seen and been told, the entire trail is pretty smooth, shouldn't have any trouble 👍
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 - Thanks for the prompt reply. I do intend to check out that video that you mentioned. I didn’t realize that you made it that recently.
Hey no problem 👍 hope you like the video, I even talk about the history of the Apache trail as well. One of my favorite places! Here's the link for the video too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aI-9Fp1h1GI.html
I still remember the first time I took this drive in my V8 charger, what an great drive, definitely was fast but also stopped at every lookout, feels like driving through the grand canyon itselves, and I went there before I visited Grand canyon. Was in awe and shock how beautiful AZ is then I only until I hit Greer the next day. This is my third summer after moving to AZ and this state just can't seem to stop delivering amazing views to my eyes and I am so ever glad that I made the move.
