I did the same flow but it doesn't work, "// Error: Object (ID: 0): /obj/Shred_Prticle_OUT1 Geo (ID: 4): /obj/Shred_Prticle_OUT1/ShredParticleOUT/ShredParticle_OUT No geometry generated!" The Outliner shows "emptyPart" and there is nothing on my screen. Any solutions ? I want to export FBX with particle instancer form Houdini to UE5. but Houdini not worked.
Hey Varomix, Thanks for making this tutorial! I am facing an issue that I just cannot wrap my head around, It is coming from the flow layout example script. I am using houdini 20.0.506 and python 3.10 on windows This is the error I am getting: File "C:\Users/**/Documents/houdini20.0/python3.10libs\**\FlowLayoutEx.py", line 40, in heightForWidth height = self._do_layout(QRect(0, 0, width, 0), True) File "C:\Users/**/Documents/houdini20.0/python3.10libs\**\FlowLayoutEx.py", line 65, in _do_layout layout_spacing_x = style.layoutSpacing( RuntimeError: Internal C++ object (PySide2.QtWidgets.QProxyStyle) already deleted. how can you try something you don't know how to use it and expect to have the same result as something you do for all your life? Is like: Hm...I'm gonna try some kung foo and see how it goes
does anyone know why transparent principled shaders desaturate any other materials viewed through the transparency? a red ball next to a wine glass, fine, but put the red ball into the wine glass and it goes grey. i did a quick test to demonstrate the problem, i know in Arnold you have to specifically tell the renderer if you have a non opaque mesh, but this is something different, its clearly a bug, has anyone ever rendered any glass in mantra with a object behind it? what am i doing wrong??? whats a work around? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5BhG08pFFgg.html
hey! I follow step by step the tutorial (and official docs) and as soon as I hit "Render to Disk" a it pops up a window showing how it's exporting the sequence but I just get a single and heavy unknown file (not .ass) am I missing something? do you know any workaraounds? Thank you!
exporting audio with the video is a bit weird. I think its not possible to export a frame range for example with audio enabled, i had to export the entire timeline. Flipbook didn't pick up my audio from the audio panel and had to import it in the flipbook settings again. Also i couldn't hear the audio inside Mplay and in order to be sure audio gets exported i made sure to select my file a third time inside the export options. This was my first time dealing with audio and flipbooks so i ma not sure there is an easier way
Fyi, for anyone seeing this in the future. When you check out the other SideFX-made python panels, most of them have a disclaimer at the top saying that they use hutil.Qt for backwards compatibility with PyQt4 and PyQt5, but to import from PySide2 in your own projects. I couldn't get VSCode or PyCharm to recognize hutil.Qt as a valid library, but PySide2 fixed that!
Yep, when you create a new interface, you might see the message that the 'hutil.Qt' is only for internal-use and using Pyside2 or PyQt5 is recommanded.😁
Hola, solution for exrecise 3 of part 2 //ex 3 Make the waves be blue on black /** vector pos = @P *chv('fancyscale'); vector centre = chv('centre'); float d = distance(pos, centre); d *= ch('scale')*-1; @Cd.r = 0; @Cd.b = fit(sin(d+(@Time*ch('time'))), -1,1,0,1); @Cd.g = 0; **/ /** yellow on green vector pos = @P *chv('fancyscale'); vector centre = chv('centre'); float d = distance(pos, centre); d *= ch('scale')*-1; @Cd.r = fit(sin(d+(@Time*ch('time'))), -1,1,0,1); @Cd.g = 1; @Cd.b = 0; **/
This will not work with animated geometry, because the stop behaviour just stops the arrows and will not working deforming geometry and stick behaviour just rotates the arrows 180 and ignores orient
