I swear, this show managed to transform from a gory and exciting fantasy anime into a realistic and tragic depiction of war, mental breakdowns, suicide and genocide.
first anime i watched, finished it last week, and i dont think ill watch another. this show was perfect, every aspect was outstanding. i dont think ive ever been this invested in a show it is just so fucking good. also only time ive ever cried watching a show (hange death). generational show. thank you attack on titan.
I remember watching this in 2013 pissed that there wasnt a season 2 announcement lol. Back them it was a good anime but still niche. No one was really talking about it for the first year then the manga started getting conversation going.
Don't get me wrong I fucking love the rumbling ...... but I do believe it was inspired by a similar event in classic anime , the 7 days of fire ? Not saying it was ripped off or anything, personally I prefer the rumbling
People have probably already said this in the comment section, but when Reiner revealed that he was a titan was so crazy to me. I genuinely thought he was joking, I rewinded like 3 times before he healed to make sure I was seeing the right thing.
That moment when you cry... But not because the caracter died, but because he survived. It Is very painful for me to look at Levi, who lost all his close friends.
In a way, I can relate to Eren. I was born 6 months premature, I was ready to be free, find my freedom and hold onto it. I have lived my life with pain and discrimination as well as hardships. I refuse to let anyone take my freedom from me, be it here, or out there. I will keep moving forward, even if it means I will be alone.
there are plenty of parasites who are shown to be killing for sadistic reasons, not just survival. in fact that's one of the key themes of the second half of the series, showing that parasites arent all rational and logical beings simply doing what they need for surivial
Everything that you thought had meaning: every hope, dream, or moment of happiness. None of it matters as you lie bleeding out on the battlefield. None of it changes what a speeding rock does to a body, we all die. But does that mean our lives are meaningless? Does that mean that there was no point in our being born? Would you say that of our slain comrades? What about their lives? Were they meaningless?... They were not! Their memory serves as an example to us all! The courageous fallen! The anguished fallen! Their lives have meaning because we the living refuse to forget them! And as we ride to certain death, we trust our successors to do the same for us! Because my soldiers do not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of this world! My soldiers push forward! My soldiers scream out! My soldiers RAAAAAGE! -erwin
AOT is like Godzilla minus one. My point is, AOT will always be the best anime of all time better then any other anime bc AOT is pretty damn realistic unlike other anime’s. AOT IS THE MOST UNDERRATED GEM OF ALL TIME I GUARANTEE IT I STAND BY IT! HANDS DOWN!🙌🏿😤
I would honestly like to get into anime but it's just difficult for me because it just seems too silly or ever exaggerated and I'm sorry if this is mean but seeing the culture itself really drives me away from it. The only anime I've seen is dragon ball Z which I grew up watching and attack on titan (only season 1) the only reason I ended up liking attack on titan is because it's really disturbing and I love messed up disturbing stuff. But I just can't find any that appeal to an old fashioned guy like me.
Just finished the anime today, it was way more enjoyable than i thought i'd be I should not have listened to the haters, this show got heart Its such a simple story, but watching it just makes me happy, it inspires me to be better, not only for myself but also for the people around me
The biggest irony in the show was that Eren was the opinionated son Grisha needed to start the rebellion back in Marley and Zeke was the quiet kid he needed to have in Paradise Island But the twist of fate was such that the two kids got born in the wrong place at the wrong time
