Today, robots do most of the "building" of a car and humans do simplistic little end point tasks. And since all cars look the same now, there isn't much variation in what they do.
@@OldAgeTeddyboy when I remember the men were men and women were women! The cars had attitude! Going to church wasn’t shameful and white picket fences.
Alan Freed was used as a scapegoat, it was common for DJs to be paid to play records back then, Click Clarke was also caught up in the payola scandal, yet he got off and Alan Freed was left to carry the can, totally wrong to pin it all on him, he gave a lot to Rock`n`Roll, and got very little back, its a shame...
And history has a bad memory. It's a social construction. Through the passage of time, everything gets distorted. I'm old. I was there when rock 'n' roll was invented. Alan Freed was more important than Fats Domino. In 1954, when Alan Freed came to New York, popular music changed entirely.
@@RichardKoenigsberg You're not wrong there, without Alan Freed, we would have lost the music to time, he kept it alive as long as he could, something else, people were against him because he liked the black groups, times were different back then and segregation was still about, then his show got cancelled because Frankie Lymon was dancing with a white girl, they shut him down, but you cant keep a good man down..
She was at that, also Larry died as well, 5 January 2024 (age 79 years), there are not many of the original artists left, we also lost Dwayne Eddy this year, But we do have Connie Francis, Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee with us, also paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Dion, Fabian, Pat Boone, Frankie Avalon, Just to name a few....
Hay que reconocer y agradecer el esfuerzo para crear este maravilloso vídeo, una época en que los autos y la música se complementaban perfectamente, gracias por compartir y saludos cordiales desde Guatemala
Ive played drums in bands since i was 9 years old ,am now 78, only stopped playing about 5yrs ago due to illness , loved playing all this type of music they were great times & great music ,not like the crap they play today , us young ones had respect for parents, teachers & everyone older than ourselves unfortunatly we now live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that stupid people won`t be offended PS i,m from down under Australia
This is great music, i have loved it for as long as i can remember, i cant play the drums, although i thought i could as a kid growing with a stick and a biscuit tin. Today music is the worst it can get, its loud and you cant hear the singer or singers, but kids like it, my kids have grown up with 50s Rock`n`Roll, they all know it but have chosen their own music, my Grandkids have also grown up with it, and as much as they say they dont like it you see them in the back of the car singing it word for word. Times are going to get a lot harder, and its easy to offend people with wanting to offend. We moved to Australia some years back, me and the wife still have our English accents, never lose them now..
Teddyboy, thanks a lot for this terrific video. There's a song from 10 minutes to 12 minutes that's so good. I haven't heard it in years. Do you happen to know its name? Thanks.
Glad you liked it, its always good to hear feedback about my videos, i enjoy making them, i have another one in the making, please tell your friends about it and share the video, it counts and gets other watching my videos, all my videos are free, i do it for the enjoyment that people get from watching..
Sorry to hear about your Dad, sadly we are losing more and more Teds every year, and no one is coming into the scene, Teds are irreplaceable, Wht was his name?, there are many Ted groups on facebook he was probably known by many people..

@@OldAgeTeddyboy No, it's not that one, the one I'm referring to is called "Back to the 1950's cars, diners and rock and roll." and on the cover appeared a car dealership, which had "Modern motor sales LTD."
Great to see the Tad's, I used to go to the the Black Raven beside Liverpool station This is where all the Teds used to meet up and have dances, meetings etc. We travelled down from Scotland on a few occasions.
Born 27 March 1940, Sutherlin, Virginia. Died September 3, 2007, Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina. 67 years old, but she could bely out those songs like she did in the 50s
Your not alone, i would also pick this era, like you say they had everything from the cars to the music, diners and drive ins, would be a great time to live in...
