how it work? motorboat card? for use boat i need ... card walk/sprint to go to the center of lake, after to kill zomb card motorboat card, after if i need back to location card walk/sprint ? because center lake it new location it's correct?
Yes I think you understand it right. I go over the motorboat at 10:55. Use walk or sprint to take the boat to the center of the lake, then use the motorboat action card to kill zombies. When you want to go back to land you’ll need another walk or sprint. Or you can stay in the center (safe from the zombies) and keep killing them every other turn
@@orhanragimov86 No you could still do 3 move. Move from the center of the lake to one of the spaces bordering the lake for 1 and then use your other 2 moves as normal around the board
I already have camp happy trail but I'm looking for a new feature film to play and this video was really helpful in deciding which one. Still taking suggestions though
I usually suggest Dr. Fright as the second film to get, that’s what I did. Plus I love the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. But Geppetto is a good choice too. He’s very different from Hans a good introduction to minions. When in doubt go with the theme that you like more.
10:54 yeah also i would say a houserule say u only survive if u roll a 6...its like a suicide attempt and a last desperate resort if u know u will probably loose the game if u dont but then u hace atleast 16,6% chance of surviving even if u do!!
when a "non"alien game has more alien components to it than ravensburgers version that actually has the TITLE alien in it , u know something is off....🤨🤨🧐🧐😐😐
@@paulstock8977 Yea this one and Organism have the most complex rules. If you want to ease into it I’d suggest ignoring all the Konrad’s special rules about maintenance cards and just focus on Evomorph and how it Evolves and Vanishes. Then once you’re comfortable with that look at the maintenance cards
Thank you so much for this video. I juat discovered this game thru my local board and card game store that just opened. This video finally helped me understand how to play. Can i please ask where you found sleeves to fit all the different size cards like the setup items cards
Love to hear it! I’m assuming you commented while in the middle of the video (I know, it’s long). I go over the sleeves I personally use at the end, it starts at 29:27. There’s other options but these work for me and are still going strong after 150ish plays. Hope you enjoy the game! There’s also Amazon affiliate links in the description if you don’t mind supporting me a little bit 😉
I have a question: In my first playthrough no hordes formed. Then I had to reveal the finale card and the dark power card wasn‘t revealed yet. Normally I have to reveal the dark power when revealing the finale. Do I have to bring the horde on the dark power card in this case in play or not? Greetings from Germany Marc
Interesting question, I haven’t seen this asked or come up before. I would say you still have to reveal the Dark Power when the Finale is revealed because that’s in the base rules but you don’t have to place the horde since there’s no group of 3 or more. You remembered that when a zombie kills a victim to turn them into a zombie right?
The Killer panics just like a victim. Roll a die and move the Killer one space in the direction you rolled based on the panic numbers around their current space. Hope that helps!
@MyklSkeleton Thank you, so much. I thought I was being a donut! The frost mechanic, if someone is outside for long periods do they get frost bite or is it just when you pull a card with that on it? When I first played I tried to get everyone inside.
@@kderrins Only when you pull a Terror card with the Frostbite symbol. When that happens everyone outside that already has frostbite will take 1 damage and everyone outside who doesn’t already have frostbite will gain it.
What a fantastic explanation. You’re doing gods work my man. I like how you run through it again, slightly different with examples, really seals the knowledge home.
I’d still start with Hans if possible, it’s just easier to get used to the flow of the game without any extra rules. Then after a couple games you can bust open one of the others.
So I’m finally ordering this game and the 3 feature films I’m starting out with are camp happy trails, frightmare on maple lane, and and once upon the blood moon did I choose correctly
Yep! I recommend Hans or Big Bad Wolf to start out and then Dr. Fright is a good second film to get. Intruders would probably be my recommendation after that and then it’s really up to you. So good choices, hope you have fun with it! Come join the VRG Discord and say hi! It’s easy for me to answer rules questions on there and fun to see people post their gameplays and how it went: mee6.xyz/i/PVSH6p9wNz
Ah, I actually didn't click that the basic killer action applies to ALL killers, I don't think it mattered in my playthrough because every time I had a killer phase any nearby victims got killed anyway. This one is a bit tough btw, not for the faint of heart but a great box nonetheless.
Yeah luckily they don’t move as the default action. And often they are grouped up in the beginning so after the first one kills the other two are left without a target. But once they separate it can get a little crazy!
I've played a fair amount of Happy Trails Horror and finally am getting around to trying Carnage at the Carnival. (Eventually I'll move on to the two feature films I bought from Season 2 as well.) In any case, thanks for your summary. It was really helpful!
Love the tutorial one of the best I’ve seen and you helped me with a lot of rules. Question tho, Do the maniacs move at the same time every turn and do they move towards the same location all the time. Im so confused as to how they move I dont know if I only move one per turn and the other one the next turn or both of them should move at the same time towards the same location😂
All the maniacs on the board move every killer phase but they move one at a time. If it’s before the finale then yes they all have the same target (the final girl) but if it’s after the finale it might be different. In that case each maniac chooses their own target and does the maniac action on the finale card. Hope that makes sense, thanks for watching!

Thank you! And yes I have separate videos going over the special rules for each Feature Film, including A Knock at the Door. Here’s a playlist with ALL my Final Girl videos: ru-vid.com/group/PLLj5Omacz32cabc5shm-5OIc5Ldi2OdT0&si=NC1Zr0CSCntgxc7L
Agreed, it’s really cool what they did with Evomorph by having him evolve and vanish throughout the game. It’s why he’s (currently) my favorite killer!
Love your video and am new to solo gaming. I like Onirim and have tried to play it today. I find it’s super hard to win this game UNLESS you use the “little incubus” (hate using that name by the way so I’ll call him the little black ghost) as it says on the very back of the rule book as a “protector” which they recommend for beginners…is this normal? I like board games and not the one on the app on iPhone…seems it doesn’t keep track when you nullify a “nightmare”…again is this normal to not win much on the actual card board game? Thanks!
I think it’s normal to lose quite a bit at first but solo games are usually meant to be difficult. Think about it, if you played and won your first 2-3 games would you even want to play again? Part of losing is that feeling that you were close to winning and maybe next time you’ll get it. Just keep playing and I bet you’ll start winning more. Good luck!
@@MyklSkeleton thanks! Yeah guess you’re right but type A personality here lol. Any other solo board games you’d recommend for someone just starting out who’s older (but not old!) that have pretty straightforward rules? Easy-ish to learn? Thanks!
Fantastic video! Great presentation, clear and consise explanation, and especially welcome for a complex feature like this one. I felt a bit intimidated to try Into The Void and this video helped a lot.
Awesome to hear it helped, that always makes me happy. It’s definitely got more rules but I don’t think it’s TOO bad if you already know the basics. It’s my personal favorite at the moment so give it a shot!
Yep! It was one of the stretch goals that we reached. I believe the S3 Vehicle cards will be in the Special FX crate, which will be sold in retail also if you didn’t get the Ultimate Box.
Here's a neat little strategy. Move into a tile that said you need to remove one or more card from your game. Move out and in again. Now... If you have a card that says "draw two card", and the deck only has 1 card not in your hand, you play that card, and draw it back up. That means you can take your turn indefinitely.
That was a well put together rules explanation. Concise and clear. Thank you! We haven't played the game in a while and this was the perfect rules refresher. As for what we think of it, it's always been a hit when I've played it. That's why it's time for it to come back to the table. :)
