John, interesting comments about Tommy Turbo injuries in which you mention’ knees over toes guy’ who I have watched and if I could also mention Mark Wildman who is also on RU-vid had a similar situation. I find training techniques interesting and often wonder if football players are training in all 3 planes of motion ( sagittal, frontal and converse/rotational). Is there enough training done in all planes of motion these days that could help prevent or speed up recovery for certain injuries? Maybe Gowie or Mitchell could shed some light on this. From the outside looking in a lot of training is strength training but John as you have a background in martial arts you would know full well the benefits of rotational strength and movement which football players are put in all sorts of situations and positions during a game.
I'm not as confident as you boys about the Dragons making the 8. Yes they have destiny in their own hands but really when 5 of your last 7 games are at home and to this point have only 1 win from 4 and most have been in front of a sellout crowd do they really deserve to be there? Every coach who loses matches during the Origin period because their players are out. Changing the timing doesn't remove the Origin players from the team. It removes the weakened teams having to play matches without their Origin players..

Watching the QLD press conference after game 3 SOO confirms to me that DCE and Billy think that only QLD seemingly are entitled to win the series every year. The pair of them reminded me of 2 toddlers who threw their toys out of the cot and onto the floor because they didn't get what they wanted. They need to be reminded it's easy to be gracious in winning but more so in defeat. Outplayed, outcoached so let's see if they ' Pick n stick ' next year.
