Hi there! I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out because I wanted to ask you if this video could be used as part of a documentary that I'm working on. The film is about Ukraine, and it also explores the way Western culture influenced the country after the dissolution of the USSR. I hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you ... I can't get enough of these old 1990s videos of NYC... What a great time b/f smartphones and social media! People walking and living... How I miss those days!
This is the most beautiful video I've ever seen. I was born in February 1995 just outside of the city in Connecticut and had gone through absolute hell. Seeing this, the video cameras in the windows, hearing this Pink Floyd song... it brought me back to memories I didn't even remember that I had. Almost as if the spirit of God had touched the very core of my soul that I had lost so many years ago. So much pain and grief all released from this one video. Please, never delete this.
When life was much simpler times when ppl had real conversations and connections technology in a way has help many and has ruined others ppl are more robotic and humans many have lost touch to humanity I miss those days so much and praying things get better but in reality that’s far gone many say well now technology has help many to expose things and ppl that’s the good thing but the bad side of it is we can’t do or say anything without someone taking out a phone and put it on your face and personal space or going out with friends while everyone is on their phones or recording everything they eat,do or say so many things have changed in a way I can’t say I like much I miss the connection I lived those eras and I felt and now the difference between them so I know which one felt better is my opinion others may think different but on my behalf those were better times
I always wanted to go to NY but I read that they now force people to be injected with experimental drugs to enter restaurants and cinemas etc. I would have liked to go in this era (90s).
Pretty much nothing changed in Manhattan in all this years , apart the obvious thing that changed ... when I see China megacities growing x2 times whole NYC in just 20 years looking like Cyberpunk 2077 Night City already ... i wonder if West have any chance vs Asia anymore in leading technology and future ,.
Such stupid comparing a city that's been thriving for many and and a region like Asia that wasn't as advanced decades ago. Only reason Asia looks great and new is because it was pure land in the 80s-90s. Everything from Asia to the middle east was build recently. In a few years they will look old and out of style. While NYC is timeless. Same with maimi. Right now it's changing rapidly to become a modern city.
I miss NYC pre-9/11. From 1993-2011 I worked in the Empire State Building. Fun times. The 90s was the last great decade. Even the Manhattan Mall(formerly A&S Plaza) is gone now.
@@g-uy9me probably not long after this video was taken. Giuliani had just taken office as mayor of nyc and he got rid of a lot of the sex stuff in times square. if i remember correctly, a lot of it was gone by 1997
@@g-uy9me early 90's me and a friend saw the last of it. Guiliani shut them all down but im noticing some funny sex stores are poping up again today but spread out in Queens
The city had a different vibe before 9/11, Then came the proliferation of the internet, cell phones, social media, LBGQTXYZ, etc.. The world has changed, NOT for the better😢
You’re right. But it wasn’t just the city, the whole world changed from 9/11. The American self delusion was shattered. I think that even was the beginning of the beginning of the end of the American experiment.
@@telesniper2 by the way, i have to respect your commitment to focus on Sbarros quality availability in the midst of a discussion about the end of the world.
If only there were a way to whisper to someone in this video to model the web as a graph using websites as nodes in that graph and hyperlinks as edges, rank websites by number of incoming edges and build a search engine
Why so much hatred ? Idk what propaganda lies putin is feeding you but please don’t take the bait. War isn’t good for anyone , It leads to innocent lives lost.
Yeah wow why did they need to put that in the video? We could go listen to that on our own if we wanted to. Rather hear the natural street noise. I had to skip until it was over.
I already stopped hanging out on the norm in 1989. I wish I could go back in time. If only for a weekend. I miss, Roseland, 1018, Studio 54, The Fun House, etc. It was a every weekend thing.
