Our channel is a mixed bag of useful information, I hope. We will be doing everything from Farm life to city life and everything in between. We hope you tune in and learn at little and have a lot of fun.
i had a question bro if you can answer it i would appreciate it so i just recently cleaned my throttle body on my 05 gmc sierra 5.3 just because i had no check engine light on for it before so after i cleaned it i installed everything back the right way and did the 3 minute idle re learn well tried now when i turn it on it warms up good but once it warms up it starts to surge the rpm goes up and down then when i put it in reverse or drive it revs up and going into gear or to reverse, drive any when i drive it and give it a little pull to see it it feels good i feel good normal power but as soon as i let go the gas now it stays reved up or accelerated then once i come to a stop the idle kind of goes down like slowly and just starts surging again do you think this could be my problem or what else do you think it can be i replaced air filter cleaned my maf sensor do you think this may be the cause of that before my truck wouldn’t do that it would die out coming to a stop though so i would just hold the gas to keep the idle from dropping all the way and stalling the truck but now it doesn’t let me even do that cus when i try it revs up on its own until i drive off so we ended up trying a new tb but i guess that didn’t work either , some shop said i needed a tune up and that didn’t fix anything either , so im over here trying to find something do you have any clue what can cause the rpm to surge go up and down after warming up , but when they did the tune up at a shop , they did my spark plugs , spark plug wires and cleaned my injectors thinking it was that and nothing it still kept doing same thing so do you know if this is related a mechanic told me that it can be that or my maf sensor but i had replaced that one with a used oem one so i dont know if i want to try another maf sensor but i kinda want to try the tac module sensor i don’t know if it seems like the same problems im having
@@rickygarcia9327 if you have wire and eyelets you can try that. It’s a cheap and easy test to see it solves the issue I would it has a MAF issue. Try cleaning again and make sure it’s dry when reinstalling.
I believe the SAE 0w-20 weight oil is recommended by GM for trucks with Active Fuel Management. The AFM lifters modulate the engine changing between 4 and 8 cylinders. In 8 cylinder mode, the locking pins in the lifters are pushed outward by spring force, locking the pin housing and outer housing together causing the lifter to function as a normal lifter. When in 4 cylinder mode, the locking pins are pushed inward with engine oil pressure directed from the valve lifter oil manifold assembly solenoids. I've found over the years that it's always best to use GM recommended specifications for oil and use GM parts.
@@graybeardgarage9638 I've owned full size GM trucks since the 1980's up through today. I have always found their transmissions to be well built and strong. It's always best to perform the scheduled transmission maintenance at GM's recommended mileage intervals using GM brand/type transmission fluid and GM brand/type fluids for the transfer case and rear differential. When driving, it's also helpful not to beat on the transmissions, like many people often do.
@@take942 I unfortunately have not had the best luck. My 2018 Silverado lost its transmission and cost me 6500 to replace. I have owned several Chevy trucks and SUVs. I don’t beat on them and I’ve lost 3 transmissions.
@@graybeardgarage9638 I did not mean to imply that you beat on your transmissions causing them to fail. From your video it's clear that you take very good care of your truck. I meant that there are many people when driving beat on their vehicles, prematurely wearing out the vehicle's mechanical systems. I'm sure you would agree. I believe the newer "Hydra-matic 8L90" transmissions have certain problems.
@@take942 no worries I didn’t take it that way. I was just saying I don’t beat them and still had issues. The transmission guys who did my 2018 Silverado said these transmissions are failing faster than any others he has seen. He thinks there will be a lawsuit against GM for them. My 2005 Tahoe I think was just worn out.
😂😂😂 I did this before I watched any videos and I put one of my chickens in there and she did the same exact thing 😂😂. She just stood there like that for a few mins and then hopped out. It did look like she started to lower herself down into the water a little bit, but she did this exact same thing 😂😂
I literally just filled a kiddie pool with water and put it with my chickens. I have no clue if they would use it or not sooo I decided to come look on here after I put it in there with them 😂😂.
In my opinion, a 2700K or 3000K LED would be better, as the lighting would be better but without losing the retro look of the yellow light from incandescent bulbs.
@@graybeardgarage9638If you don't know by know, Your Sears floor jack is a 9-50115. The plunger o-ring is a 3.5x15 trade size. (3.5 dia. X 15mm ID and 22mm OD) My backer ring or the plunger o-ring was missing from the factory(found a exploded diagram online) If you can leave the plunger wiper seal in, do so. They are expensive. As for the main cylinder there are two versions, 42mm(v1) and 40mm(v2). Just measure the CD(diameter) of the o-rings you need to replace. When I get to that point if you still have the jack, I can compare and share the trade sizes of the parts.
@@graybeardgarage9638 I would start at the drop site and work out from there. Back up drop the tool then pull up end keep backing up further and further. That way you pull over cleared areas. Filling it up fifty yards away and dragging over uncleared areas seems to me counterproductive. It's kind of like shoveling snow in the driveway. That's how my Dad taught us. You sold me on the attachment ,thanks
I used 1305 Beer caps on my bar. I started with hot glue, but a lot of caps weren’t stuck down the next day coupled with the expense of the glue sticks I switched to GE silicone. My wife complained about the smell of that stuff so I switched again to acrylic silicone. At 3 bucks per tube at Lowe’s, I used up 14 tubes of the stuff.
No comments??!! Whaaaat. I just made a beer bottle cap table .. Well, I bought the table and added the bottle caps. Im also making a video. Ive been collecting bottle caps since 1993?!?
You guys know what's required to care for those chick's before they can be with the adult flock? They never assimilate together. You will always have 2 flocks. And those chick's need to be as large as your adult birds before they can be allowed to mingle with the adults, or the adults will just pick in them, unless you have a very large area for the new birds to be able get away. Good luck.
I've really been enjoying your pallet chicken coop series! I love what you've done with it all. Thank you for recording every step of the way. It gives a realistic view into how it is to own chickens. Great job!
I have this same Jack mid 90’s sears craftsman. Been looking for a repair kit and/or serial/model number mine is also wore off. This Jack has been is service for almost 30 years they just don’t make them like this anymore. Thanks for the video I wish you had better luck, it would have helped me.
@@chrisalvarez6204 My Chevy dealer charges $72.50 for oil & filter change and includes rotating tires, on my 2018 Silverado with 5.3 engine. Sounds like you're being way over-charged.
I firmly believe, but cannot prove, that the EVAP system on these is horribly designed such that if you fill with a gas can or add a fuel additive into the filler neck some goes into the EVAP system instead of the gas tank
We have had a problem as well. We noticed lots of underground tunnels. Hubby built a few wire cages to put over the holes the rats created and set snap traps in them. Been catching these suckers every night. We are in the process of digging out the entire chicken run so we can put hardware cloth under ground and wire it to the hardware cloth sides. We plan to add hardware cloth on the top as well under the roof. We remove all food and water at night in the run as well. It's not a cheap project as our run is 30 foot by 15 foot. We do let the girls out to free range in the yard during the afternoons when we are outside with them.
Thanks Roni, I’ll have to try that with my hubby! 😂😂 great job guys, hope it keeps those buggars out. Sending cuddles for Baby, she’s such a little beauty 🥰
I miss manual transmissions. Not only were they fun,but aside from someone never having driven one smoking your $200 clutch they were pretty bulletproof 😂. The newer automatic transmissions are so complicated and overpriced that its hard to find a shop that can diagnose and fix one for less than what a new replacement one costs.
Hey Gray Beard! Did you wire wheel clean that mating surface? If so please explain and why did you skip that step in the video please advise please and thank you
@@graybeardgarage9638 yeah so I'll check out your other vids but my question is we're using a handheld wire brush what did you use something on a die grinder or a drill to clean up that cast?
