Where I live in western NY we are plagued with deer, yet I can grow mullein. This old world plant attacks many insects with its flowers. I leave the dead stems till spring; as in winter hairy woodpeckers feed on insects in the seedhead.
I have not specifically smelled the flowers, but I do recall it having a scent I walk by. These two websites confirm that it has a sweet scent from a distance: 1) pnwplants.wsu.edu/PlantDisplay.aspx?PlantID=279 & 2) gardenecology.pdx.edu/plants/holodiscus-discolor-oceanspray/index.html
The meter stick has cm on one side and inches on the other. I used inches in this video because I was referring to the wetland delineation methods of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the associated data form. Inches is the unit specified on the data form.
Hi Nick. I would visit the APT website: github.com/erdc/Antecedent-Precipitation-Tool/releases/tag/v1.0.20. It provides installation directions and tips at the top. Once you run the "main_ex.exe" file to install, you should get an "Antecedent Precipitation Tool.exe" file that you can put on your desktop and will allow you to open the application with the black background. I hope this helps. I remember struggling a bit to get it installed.
