No frills, just real talk. Thanks for being a part of this! 🌟 #NaturalHairJourney #LifestyleTips
I have used it twice and both times after rinse, left my scape like cradle scape as if it felt like hard salt like dandruff. So to say I won't be using this product again
I am sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with this product. Unfortunately not all products will agree with everyone. Perhaps you’re allergic to one or more of the ingredients in the product. Also, it is entirely possible that another product could be the culprit, as I’m sure you used other products after you shampooed your hair. But, it’s best you stop using this product and use an alternative. You’re absolutely doing the right thing for YOU. 😊
Been losing hair since I was 13, apparently I was vitamin D deficient and I only barely found out at 18 lol. I need to jumpstart my hair growth so I’m gonna use this coffee oil along with derma stamping and improving my lifestyle.
I’m sorry to hear that, but I’m glad you’ve discovered the reason. You’ve got a good plan in place. You could try adding some dried rosemary leaves to the coffee for an extra boost, and using an oil like pumpkin seed oil would make it even more effective. Best of luck with your hair journey, and if you need any help that I can offer, I’ll be here. 😊♥️
Yes, you can, but I think it’d be best to cover it in some way, even with just cling film or aluminium foil. Freezing it without a cover can potentially cause it to get diluted because of additional water (in the form of ice), which will inevitably get onto the tray. 😊
I wanted to check if this product originally came sealed because mine wasn’t sealed! All thanks to you, because I now know that it was supposed to be sealed.
Hey Jeje. I am so sorry to hear that yours arrived unsealed. That’s awful! I hope you were able to get a refund or a replacement. Sellers need to do more to look after their customers! 😊♥️
@@LifestyleUnlocked I went to refund it today, and the lady told me she was unable to refund it because the product is not supposed to come with a seal. So then I showed her your video, because you showed that it came with a seal. She then apologised and refunded me! Thank goodness for your video 😊
i make a similar oil. i juice an onion, i juice ginger, then i use a magical butter machine to infuse coconut oil with the cloves which i have grounded up and with coffee grounds. i do this at the lowest setting for 8 hours. i then strain it and add the onion juice and ginger juice as well as some powdered msm and rosemary oil. my hair is growing too fast lol.
Wow, that’s wonderful to hear! You’re using fantastic ingredients, and it sounds like you’re being consistent. So it’s no wonder your hair is thriving. I am so happy for you. Thanks so much for sharing! 😊♥️
Thank you so much for this video! I am black with really curly that’s super dry i need some advice bought the strength and restore leave in but my hair is still dry. I am going to buy this product to be used daily as my leave in conditioner the hydration version. Then use my strength and conductor leave in after on wash days after shampoo and condition. I figured this will work because I love the Masque version and my hair is amazing for that day or two but then goes back dry.
Hi! You’re very welcome! The Strengthen and Restore Leave-In Conditioner can sometimes leave hair feeling dry, particularly if you have low porosity hair. I only use it when my hair needs a good dose of protein. Whenever I do, I find I need to moisturise more frequently than usual. It sounds like we may have a similar experience. While the Strengthen and Restore conditioner is excellent for reducing breakage, it’s not the best for adding moisture. So your idea to reduce how often you use it is a sound one. Personally, I use it about once a month, and the rest of the time I opt for hydrating/moisturising leave-ins, like the one I featured in this video. If your hair tends to be on the dry side, I recommend layering your products like this: 1. Start with a hydrating product containing a humectant (I find a simple mix of water and glycerine works well). Let your hair absorb it fully so it penetrates properly. 2. Follow with a moisturising leave-in conditioner, such as the one I reviewed in this video. 3. Finally, seal in the moisture with a sealing oil. I use JBCO or plain castor oil, but if that’s too thick for your hair, you can dilute it with olive oil, or just use olive oil on its own. It’s quite common for hair to feel dry a day or two after wash day if moisture hasn’t been sealed in properly. My hair used to be like that until I figured out a method that keeps it hydrated. Here’s a video you might find helpful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vt92jlopy9M.htmlsi=FeEoJ9cDktAflhqO Although I’m generous when applying products, you can use less and still see great results. I use more because my aim is to keep my hair moisturised for at least a week-if not longer-without having to re-moisturise. With this approach, I avoid having to manipulate my hair throughout the week. Another thing to remember is you use moisturising shampoos, not clarifying shampoos. That can be a real game changer. Try this for a month and I’m sure you’ll see a difference. If you’re still struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we can figure this out together. 😊
Yes, Cantu is notorious for that. Again, you need to finish with an oil or something like pure Shea butter, to seal the moisture in. If you just apply a leave-in conditioner on its own, it’s a given that your hair will dry out quite quickly. Before I forget, let’s not underestimate the power of hot oil treatments. They are seriously good & can make all the difference. If you haven’t done one in a while, I highly recommend you do! Olive oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil are especially good for hot oil treatments, but you can use any of the penetrating oils that I talked about in another video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X4Z8CBPfbwE.htmlsi=RKgL_T0oeCQUCC1z
@@LifestyleUnlocked GAME CHANGER THANK YOU!!!!! For my shampoo and conditioner I use the Mizani texture hair care line. Its expensive but I been using it since I was a kid the brand because my mom put me on to it! Thank you so much I took notes and subscribed!
@LTHinesII oh you’re so welcome! Thank YOU for supporting my channel by subscribing! 😀 Mizani is a fantastic brand and is recommended by many experts. It’s definitely worth every penny! If you have any further questions down the line and I can help in any way, I’ll be right here. Have a great weekend. 😊♥️
I shared with my sister ☺️. I plan on sharing this information with my mother when I see her at the end of the year. Thank you so much for your videos 🙏🏼.
Aww, that is incredibly sweet and kind of you and I really appreciate it! I hope they enjoy using the treatments that I share. Thank you for supporting me! Have a wonderful week. 😊🥰♥️
Hi. I use this particular mask (or any with with fenugreek) fortnightly. Occasionally I might stretch it to a month. I always use a deep conditioner, every single wash day, whether or not I use the mask. So, no, I don’t alternate them. The mask is usually the first step on my wash day, whilst the deep conditioner is the last step before I apply my glycerine water, leave-in conditioner and oil combo. 😊♥️
That’s a very good question, Jeania. Here’s a video I did that explains it all for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lhtfNsVGbTo.htmlsi=bWEhHCkyjb2cpvqR Enjoy! I hope you love using fenugreek as much as I do! 😊♥️
Aww, thank YOU for always supporting and encouraging me, Leah! These ingredients have helped me so much, and I’m delighted that you see it too! I’m also thrilled that you love them too! 😀 Thank you so much for your kind words. Be blessed my lovely! 😊🥰♥️♥️♥️
Hi there. No, I am not taking it orally at the moment. However, applying brahmi oil to the scalp (and leaving it on) has been shown to help reduce stress levels. It may not be to the same extent as taking it orally, but you would still experience those benefits. 😊♥️
Hi Shirley, I’m so glad you like it! Personally, I limit its use to just 2-3 times a week. I’ve found that frequent wetting causes mid-shaft splits in my hair, which took me a while to figure out. I suppose the best approach is to use it whenever you’re moisturising your hair, to avoid overdoing it. Thanks for watching and engaging. 😊♥️
Hi, Sam! I am really interested in this hair mask, and also the fenugreek, cloves and kalonji seed deep conditioner for hair. Would you recommend that I choose just one and use it consistently, like maybe once a week? Or, should I alternate them and use one and then the other? Seems it might make sense to use just one consistently, to start with. I’m a Caucasian older woman (68), with a healthy scalp and medium fine hair. I just want to thicken it and cause it to be as healthy and shiny as possible. Love your videos and I haven’t had any trouble hearing you clearly. I find your voice to be soothing and your accent is easy to understand! Thank you! Also, as a pre-poo mask, can I leave it on for 2-3 hours, or what would you recommend, ‘cause you’re the expert! Lastly, which of the two masks would you recommend for me?
Hi Marita! Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, I really appreciate it. I recommend choosing one product and using it consistently, as this will give you far better results. I occasionally rotate between them, but only every 2-3 months rather than weekly. This is partly because I like to use something for a while to provide my viewers with more informed insights. Since your goal is to thicken your hair, either of the masks will work well. Fenugreek is particularly effective for thickening hair, while Kalonji or Moringa offer additional nourishing benefits. Cloves will stimulate scalp circulation, which can also promote thicker hair growth. I suggest picking whichever one you can source ingredients for easily and using it consistently. You can rotate them like I do, if you want. You can start by applying it every two weeks, especially if you have low-porosity hair. If your hair tolerates the mask well, you can increase to weekly use, paying attention to how your hair responds. In general, you can leave the mask on for 2-3 hours if your scalp tolerates it. However, if you’re new to these ingredients, it’s best to start with an hour and adjust over time if you don’t experience any irritation. Hope that helps! 😊♥️
@maritawallace5510 you’re very welcome my dear! I’d love for you to stay in touch and let me know how you’re getting on. If you have any questions, I’ll be right here. Enjoy your new hair journey! 😊♥️
Hi Marita, my lovely. 😊 In general, you can leave the mask on for 2-3 hours if your scalp tolerates it. However, if you’re new to these ingredients, it’s best to start with an hour and adjust over time if you don’t experience any irritation. 😊♥️
Yay! I’m so thrilled to hear that, Kia. Aloe is fantastic, isn’t it? I wish we could get it more regularly here, but I’ll make the most of it when it is available. 😊♥️
Here's the link to the recipe I use: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r1xCxe2dMok.htmlsi=5cUUo0cvti1IUDjM I use it every two weeks. To make life easier, I prepare enough for two or three applications, divide it into equal portions, and freeze the extras. When it's time to wash my hair, I simply defrost a portion at room temperature. This saves me so much time on most wash days. 😊♥️🥰
Hi Marita. Yes, I had a pair of tights (I have a few in fact! 😂) that got laddered so instead of throwing them away, I just cut one of the legs and used that to strain with (the foot end). However, you can use a wig cap, or a nut bag or anything else that’s finely woven. I just happen to be a reuse/repurpose kind of gal! 😀 I can’t wait for you to use this. Honestly, the difference it has made for me is phenomenal. I hope you enjoy it and let me know how you are getting on after a few weeks of regular use. 😊♥️
Thank you so much!! I have healthy hair and scalp, but as I’m aging, I’ve noticed my hair is thinning. I’m hoping this will thicken it and cause it to be shiny and vibrant! Thx!
@maritawallace5510 this will definitely help. I’d also recommend ensuring your diet is rich in biotin, B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin D, as they also help improve and maintain hair health. 😊♥️
Many people choose not to use shampoos, and that’s totally up to them. Personally I always shampoo my hair because it makes conditioners /deep conditioners more effective, in my opinion, because hair still gets dirty from air pollution, products we apply to the hair after washing, sebum that we produce naturally, etc., even if you don’t wear box braids. If you want to just apply it to wet hair and see how your hair responds, you can do so. It’s up to you my dear. 😊♥️
Hi Jackie. You’re very welcome. I hope it helps with your partner’s issues. I’d also suggest eating pumpkin seeds e.g. added to cereals or toasted and mixed with nuts, as a snack. 😊♥️
Exactly! I really don’t get how or why anyone would think otherwise! It’s mind boggling! 😂 Well, Leah, I’m glad we are on the same page. This mask sure is beautiful! Thank you my lovely. Have an amazing day! 😊🥰♥️
Hi Samantha. I have 3A-3B type curly hair that is thinning. Will using the fenugreek seeds cause protein overload, especially when using with other products that have protein in them as well?
Hi Samira. I’m sorry to hear about your hair thinning issue. Hopefully we can sort it out together! Whether or not fenugreek can cause protein overload when used alongside other protein-containing products really depends on your hair porosity and also how often you’re using the other products. If you have low porosity, then yes, there is a chance you could get protein overload if you’re using other products with protein as well. If you have high porosity, the chances are less. If you’re not sure how your hair will respond, my advice is to use fenugreek as a prepoo and then make sure you use a moisturising shampoo and a moisturising deep conditioner afterwards. I’d also recommend limiting your use of fenugreek to once or twice a month. You need to avoid using it too frequently. You could also look at the other products you’re using and choose alternatives that have less or no protein, so as to have a healthy balance. I don’t think it’s necessary or healthy to use lots of products with protein all of the time. You need a balance. Hope that helps. 😊♥️
Aww, thank you so much! That’s so kind of you to say! I’m delighted you’re going to make the mask. I’m sure you’ll love it! Thank you my lovely. You take care too! 😊♥️
Hello Zara my lovely! I’m doing so much better and I am so delighted to be back! How are you? I missed you too! Thank you so much! I hope you are well. Have a wonderful day! 😊♥️♥️
Hello Samantha! Nice to see you back! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe! God bless and be safe! 🙏🏾🦋🌺🥰 P.S. God bless your Crown 👑. Love the thickness, wow! 👌🏾🫶🏾
Hello, beautiful Damaris! It's wonderful to be back, and even more wonderful to hear from you! Thank you so much for your kind words. My hair has definitely become thicker, and I'm so happy and grateful for that-I remember when it was quite thin! Thank you for your blessings; they mean so much to me. May God bless you too, my dear! 😊🥰🌹♥️🫶
hi Sis, your is looking thicker, healthy n longer. i have been sticking with mini braids n medium braids. i love them. i prepoo, cleanse my hair in mini braids n medium braids, rinses then i add my 2 leave-ins treatments to my scalp n braids n then add my castor oil to my hair. the mini & medium braids save me so much time. i redo my braids every 2-3 months.i have retained a lot of length should have did this regimen many years ago.any way looking forward to your next video. have you found an ayurvedic treatment,cleanser,leave-in n moisturizer that your are happy to apply onto your hair scalp without changing up the formulation? meaning same routine of ingredients n protective style for 1-2 years or more? i think that would be awesome. we rarely do see many content creators sticking to the a the very same ingredients n regiments and see what really gives them length retention. awesome video✨✨✨
Hey Sis! 😊♥️ Thanks for watching and for sharing your routine. It sounds amazing! I’ve thought about going on a temporary mini braid journey to get a break from box braids. I know when my mum did them they worked for her too! I think my hair prefers mini braids over mini twists for sure. So I’ll definitely keep that in mind. In terms of what I’ve stuck with and used consistently, I’d say the Ayurvedic ingredients I use consistently are fenugreek and brahmi. Sometimes I add one or two other things, but I use those two all the time. There was a time when I didn’t use fenugreek consistently, and it negatively affected my hair. So I stick with it now. As for cleansers, and leave-ins that I have stuck with, they are store bought ones but they are not Ayurvedic. I’ve not found Ayurvedic ones that I would use consistently. I’ll keep looking though! You know what? Like you, I wish I’d started doing some practices years ago. But I try not to beat myself up and accept that I didn’t know at the time, and it’s better now than never! 😂 I’ll do a video sharing my staples. You’ve given me a wonderful idea and I appreciate it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend my lovely! 😊❤️🥰🌺 🙏
Aww, Leah my lovely, you are so kind! Thank you for thinking of me. I’ve been under the weather for a little while, so I had to take things easy. But I’m much better and will be sharing videos again real soon! 😊 How are you doing? I hope you’re well and you’re looking forward to a wonderful weekend. 😊❤️🌺
Hi. It depends on what the condition of your hair is. Is it dry? Oily/greasy? Breaking? Healthy? Generally you need a moisturising shampoo, a moisturising deep conditioner, a leave-in conditioner and an oil for your hair and scalp. But the specific products depend on the state of your hair.
